Come on, guys, why are we so quiet? How is everyone doing with the first blood in 2.4? Who has made it to the end? Any tips? I'm going crazy here. My mouse started acting up – first, it turned into a bird (it literally flew to the edge of the desk), and then it stopped working altogether. I can't progress any further.

I'm feeling a bit lazy about playing it. It's mostly random maps. Well, I'll start today.

Well then - I started playing, developing peacefully, when suddenly some jerk with a bunch of vampires and magic jumped out of the darkness and absolutely wrecked me. But fortunately, I had saved 5 turns prior and replayed it slightly - I holed up in the Castle, brought up my entire army, and when that bastard popped out to attack, he didn't actually do it, probably because I was in the Castle. He captured two of my castles and sat in one of them. I waited a week, bought some troops, and rushed toward him. But no such luck - he wrecked me again. I rolled back and we just stupidly sat there for 3 weeks - me in my castle, and him right next to me in my captured one... But I was building up an army and pulling forces from the remaining castles, while he stayed with what he had. Anyway, after 3 weeks I took a chance and crushed that jerk; true, he wiped out half my army, but it got easier immediately after that. I'll finish playing today - I don't know what else lies ahead...:smile13:

Well, never mind – I'm going to play, and I'll write later about what happened next.

Further into the game, a strange problem arose – I collected the Admiral's hat, Dessoy ran to the shore, but she couldn't summon the boat – I've been running along the shore for two weeks now, in places where there's access to the water, but nothing happens... It says, "Dessoy unsuccessfully tried to summon the boat." :smile32:

You need to get water from an expert. This involves either freeing a guy from prison or leveling up Dess. Start the game and go up. There, near the witch's dwelling (where you gain skills), there's a skill for water that's already learned. If you don't want to use that skill slot, go even higher; there's a prison with a guy who provides the water skill.
By the way, where and how do you guys get the Admiral's Hat?

You need to get Expert Water Magic. Either free the guy in prison or upgrade Dess. From where you start the game, go up. There at the witch's tree (where you get skills), there is a skill slot filled only with water. If you don't want to fill a slot, then further up is the prison with the guy who has Expert Water.

Thank you so much!!!! I somehow didn't catch that - completely forgot about Expert Water...

As for assembling the hat - run as Dess to the very top-right, where the Inferno is located - nearby is a mage's hut - basically a tree, they give you one part there, then run to the far left corner - where the garrison is - wipe out the garrison and descend into the Dungeon - there is also a guy sitting in a tree - he will give you the second part - presto! - and the Admiral's Hat is ready.

In short – thanks to Malysh – I summoned a boat, and sailed to some island where this guy ran up to me, and I was immediately intimidated – 3900 Vampire Lords is a bit much... But, strangely enough, I defeated him – I just got lucky – I blinded him a couple of times, and while they were standing there blind, I surrounded the monks (I had over 2500 of them) with fire elementals, filled the entire field with quicksand, and slowly started shooting them down as they struggled through the sand. It also helped that I had a sniper bow – I could shoot directly. Something will happen next...

1. How did Dessoy manage to gather so many units from the Castle of Arkhos?
2. On the impossible difficulty level, by the 4th month, hordes are already chasing you, harassing you, and killing you. I don't understand how you managed to gather so many units before me.
3. You need to deal with the hydras after dealing with the vampires. How did you defeat the vampires?

Well, what can I say – I didn't do anything special, I just developed as usual – Dessoy at the bottom, Inham at the top, I gathered an army, then I couldn't summon Dessoy's ship for a long time, but you suggested how, and I sailed upwards, joined the two armies, and gave them to Dessoy. By that time, I had gathered the Vampire Mantle and started producing skeletons. Dessoy sailed around the islands and ran into trouble there (I posted a screenshot earlier), gathered an army again, sailed again – this time, it was even worse – I thought it was over, but the monks with direct fire (sniper bow) saved me again – they are the only ones I have, and they survived. So now, if anyone comes, it will be tough for me. How did I defeat the Vampires – what do you think? After a direct fire attack, how many of the 4500 monks with blessing will be left? And as for how I gathered so many units, I don't know, maybe I'm just playing well... :D :D :D
