They headed to the same tavern where they had met: Juno couldn't wait to tell the bartender what had happened. Inside, they found a strange trio: a halfling, a dwarf, and a creature, and they were talking quite loudly.
- Some people have no manners, - Mayven muttered to himself as he sat down next to June. - Ah, what could be better than a delicious meal and a good story to whet the appetite? - the halfling asked rhetorically and ordered a full meal with drinks.
Joon had just finished his second glass and let out a small puff of flame.
"Exactly!"
He stood up straight on the table.
"Ladies and gentlemen! I present to you myself and my friend, Maiven – the best monster hunters in the area! And dragon hunters!," he added after a moment's thought. "For a small fee, we will rid you of any monster or dragon in the shortest possible time! Don't believe me? Ask farmer Valerio! Every night, a huge werewolf dragged his livestock into its lair and ate it whole, leaving only the intestines, because they aren't very tasty! What did we do? We went and killed it! Maiven shot it through the head, but since the werewolf was a very scary beast, it was still alive, and I had to unleash lightning on it! Only smoke remained! And the half-digested skeleton of the cow it had eaten shortly before."
Three noisy humanoids headed towards the exit, and one of them, a dwarf, called out to Jun and Maiven:
"Hey, hunters! Have you heard about the Kraken?"
– Otherwise, we’ll go catch it and will catch it in the near future! And not for glory, but purely out of scientific curiosity!
– Speak for yourself, my goal is to… feast! – corrected him the one-eyed man with a scar.
June also wished him luck and changed the subject, starting to talk about how he and Mayven supposedly defeated a black dragon.
The bartender brought a dessert, a pear in syrup, and placed it near June's feet, which were still on the table.
