Tomorrow is the last day to register for the team tournament! The tournament structure is about 80% finalized; you can view it in the discussion thread. Currently, 20 people have registered. If more participants don't sign up, we will likely form two teams of 10 players each.
Registration for the tournament is closed. If anyone still wants to participate, please leave your application, in case we need to replace a participant who has withdrawn.
Here are the results of dividing the players into teams: Team "A" Willgefors moz Bradiaga alijvit Vip.rus KillAndAction аlex_nv XREH Leolopus JonnyP alljustforfun
Team "B" ekzekut dmitrik Adv DanielМ G_L raykkonen2000 Stefandmy BOLIVAR yaughen Элементаль Бога Boez During the faction draft, I encountered a problem: 1. It's impossible to balance the teams fairly through a random draw; there will always be an imbalance, and manually adjusting it would defeat the purpose of a random draw. 2. If we exclude previously played races for the next game, the choice for the draft becomes very limited. 3. Too many mirror matches, which is also not ideal. The remaining option is to assign each team a group of 4 factions, but there was little support for this idea in the discussion. Therefore, I decided that each team will start the game with a full list of factions for each player, i.e., all eight. The initial games will be played with random faction selection, similar to how the map is generated. Starting from the 2nd game and onwards, the faction draft will be conducted using the 1-1-...1-1 principle. The color will be chosen by agreement or determined by the judges; the blue team starts the draft. HOWEVER, each race played in the previous game(s) will be excluded from the draft list. The tournament will be played in a round-robin format, meaning each player will have 10 games. The last 9 and 10 games, when the list of 8 races is exhausted, can be played with random faction selection or a draft from the full list. If the opponent still has races in their list, the draft will proceed as usual (drafting from what remains), or they will play with what remains (if only 1 race is left). The time limit for each game is 7 days, with a maximum of 10 days. Unfortunately, the time for discussion and suggestions has ended. Thank you to everyone who participated. I hope that others will show some activity in the future; after all, the tournament is a shared effort. The team captains are Willgefors and ekzekutor, respectively. I declare the tournament open, starting at 21:00 Moscow time on April 20, 2013. Good luck and may the best player win! P.S. As usual, each player has one restart per game, and it must be used no later than the second day of the game. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on ICQ. Kirill will update the main thread either today or tomorrow.
Round 1 deadline: April 21-27. The topic with the tournament rules has been edited. Read it, follow it, and play.
Please report any discrepancies and requests for extending the round deadline in a timely manner. Good luck to everyone!!
P.S. I'll try to post the tournament tables tomorrow, but most likely I'll only be able to do it on Monday evening...
Hmm, what tables are you talking about?)) People are already playing here...) I know that Brodyaga is playing against Daniel, and I'm playing against Ex...

So, are you going to: - keep track of how many points each team has scored? - and monitor which specific factions each participant hasn't played yet?))
