Is there really no way to get extra rests?

I'm getting increasingly frustrated with these idiotic rules. After the panic and Jebus incidents, now we have Spider with 200%. What's next, Ring HL on slow roads with a pawn? Mirror Pickedram on Pickedram with a mandatory Gargoyle upgrade to 111? Badugi triple draw with a 36-card deck? Did Dirty team up with someone so that this tournament breaks the record for the number of participants? How else can I explain this nonsense?

It seems to me that this is some kind of unconscious (or perhaps conscious) experiment, a test of the public's loyalty to different types of rules.

Otherwise, people have gradually dispersed into their own little sandboxes of preferences, and it's unclear what anyone thinks about other sandboxes. Public arguments on this topic haven't been very popular lately.

Is this really bad? I remember that many (including you) promoted gaming universalism.

Because it's one thing to criticize from a position of strength, that is, the rules by which you know how to play and win, and another thing to criticize from a position of weakness; this often looks like an excuse.

P.S. For SoD, of course, additional restarts are needed. I remember that in Anarchy 2, there was a scheme of "4 restarts in 8 days in total, each restart no later than 114," and this was with 2500 starting gold. You should have explained this to your opponent and agreed on a normal restart scheme.

Game universalism has nothing to do with it. One thing is to play on Jebus Cross, which was unavoidable, but it has been played to death by many, God forbid, and you have to know how to play it; another thing is to slime through Spider, which even Derty himself has likely never played, let alone on 200%. He should have at least generated the map and made some adjustments to the rules before putting it up for the tourney. I have never seen a game on Spider on 200% at all.

And agreeing with your opponent on +restarts when you are clearly in deep trouble — I don't think that's right. And with many, it's hardly possible.

Bron without crocodiles. That, by the way, decided it, because with Vasya I could have broken out of the spawn, and in the adjacent zone there would have been enough gold for a bare-bones startup.

Previously, HL+U without templates was played on 200. Everything seemed to be fine, and no one complained.

How about another full random game for a complete picture?

Yesterday, we started a game, and here are my first impressions: the whole evening was spent dealing with restarts, which I usually try to avoid... But here:eek: how can you play when you can't leave the castle with a stack of 15 pikemen, and in both directions, there are blockades of weaker units, but you can't break through them. And just when it seemed like you had 2 heroes on the first day and a prefecture, the opponent takes another restart, and in the next round, you're running around with one hero in a deserted republic with 500 gold... Or you just reach a village on day 114 when the opponent appears and wins the encounter:D The result is obvious – we started the game with 0-0 restarts, depending on what everyone gets. We've only been playing for the first week, but I have a feeling that the AI will start to dominate:smile16: if there aren't more favorable encounters:p

I really love the 200% bonus on Haven, but Spider is something else... when on the first or early second day, the AI is already swarming you from three sides with purchased troops... They don't even have time to react:smile54: Another great lottery:smile08:

Implementing objective restarts based on chests and mines is difficult due to the ambiguity of the criteria, which will lead to many disputes in borderline situations.

Therefore, it's easier to add an extra couple of days of restarts.

Anarchy is a cool theme! But Spider 200 is definitely too much. I suggest turning the organizer into fish soup! Or frying it, depending on what you prefer, haha.

Well, Anarchy is generally more balanced than Panic/Balance, and perhaps the skill ceilings are also better.
