The time when we adapted to the heroes is over. It's time to adapt the heroes to ourselves! Share your created .def files here. Let's exchange them! :smile13:
Well, first, you unpack the LOD archive into a new folder, then you modify any DEF file, and then you repack it into an LOD file (place the program in your folder with the files!). It creates an LOD archive, and you put it back into the DATA folder :smile33:
I understand how to unpack and repack. But how do I make changes? If I change anything, the game displays an error, and instead of the modified object, it shows some glitches. I downloaded DefMaker, but I don't fully understand how to use it – I can only create monks with different colors and characteristics. If anyone knows how to use DefMaker, please help. :smile35:
Finally, I managed to fix it! There was a bug in defMakere – if monks are specified when it’s enabled, it doesn’t do anything else. You absolutely cannot modify the LOD files themselves (neither add to them nor change them) – they often break (for example, with me, the dirt texture disappears with any changes), and they are supplemented by placing a non-native LOD file in Updates if the name matches the native directory, and in Date if it doesn’t. I’ll be uploading new Defs soon.
