New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?

HOORAY... the organizers of the EPT poker tournament have announced that it will be held in Michurinsk (74 km :D) and will be played in the Omaha format (they didn't specify whether it's high or high/low - but even that's not such a big difference as between big and small tennis)
What do I need for the trip:
1) Format:
----high/low - acceptable
----high - unacceptable (further conditions for participation become meaningless)
2)...
That's right, the game is secondary, but if that secondary aspect is missing - the desire to come to the "EPT Michurinsk" sharply decreases, and participation in general is reduced to a minimum:mad:
scorp, what are you talking about? You found something to compare Heroes with... with that awful poker, for crying out loud :))) You'll go to the EPT "Michurinsk" primarily (and also second and third, I think) because of the money, but people go to the CIS Championship to socialize and relax, because earning money with Heroes... well, it's very difficult. And those who can earn money go there again, primarily to socialize :D
Recently, a discussion took place, and its outcome (as I understood the opponent's position) was:
CIS = Warlords Tournament + bonus (leisure - all entertainment and recreation)
So, people mainly come for the bonus, and if you remove the core element (the tournament), the number of attendees won't change - I doubted that...
Kober, that was just an example of how the version affects the desire to participate. There's no point in participating in a tournament where there's no chance of being in the top 1. If you remove one of the components of the event, it's no longer the same.
P.S. I was only comparing high Omaha and high/low Omaha, and not poker with Heroes. That message was unedited, and there was nothing like that in it.
scorp, no offense, but you're a drag, both for the Sod tournaments and for the VT ones. Because you don't really play either one, and you've basically given up on Heroes in favor of poker or whatever else you do in your free time.
That's why your IMHO, when it comes to Heroes, is worth no more than the IMHO of all those old-timers that Nagan lists. That is, zero point zero.

03/13/13. favio (blue, Inferno, Pyre, Pyre) def. MatrosOFF (red, Stronghold, Crag, Crag), Jebus, 134.
In the next turn, the blue player takes the maxi-utopia, gaining full control and powerful combat magic. There is a stack of 67 almost fully upgraded sprites, plus some minor units and +2 speed.
Crag has no magic, no speed bonuses (not even ranger), and his combat stats are no higher than Pyre's, and he has no magical units. Home utopias won't help much, and running to them... The troops aren't particularly strong, and killing the sprites seems impossible (the strongest stack has 5 different creatures). Especially with the magic disadvantage.
In general, if favio doesn't cheat too much and stays on the map for a couple more weeks, skipping turns, he will easily win.
Moreover, the opponent isn't playing to finish the game – it's not even clear what we can think about here...
Congratulations to favio on the excellent result!
