In 2003, I played on a map called Great War at a friend's house. (or Great War III)
Description:
- Map size XL
- 8 players
- You start with an Elemental Castle (or you can choose it from the list)
- There are 6 players on the surface and 2 in the Dungeon
- In the center is a huge island, guarded by mythical dragons,
where there are a lot of resources and artifacts.
I searched the internet and found this map for 2 and 4 Heroes, but I can't find one for 3 players...
This is the best map I've ever played... please help me find it :smile28:
Very similar, but still not quite the one... It seems like it was made by looking at the map I need.
Features of the map I need: - An Elemental Castle in the lower center, - A Demon Castle in the lower left corner. - The Dungeon is wider, with castles of Death and Dungeons. - There are 4 gates on the island, guarded by mythical dragons. - The houses for hiring mythical dragons are located on the island itself, not around it. - Not so many artifacts and resources (apparently, the editors went overboard).
But still, thank you very much; I couldn't even find this one.
I've probably browsed these sites about 10 times already. I'll write to Old-Mag on that forum; maybe he'll reveal which original game he was remaking it from.

I found it in the collection "1500+ maps for Heroes of Might & Magic 3" (I downloaded it, although I don't like such collections: they contain a chaotic mix, many duplicates, and no additional information). There are also collections "3500+ maps for Heroes of Might & Magic 3" and even, supposedly, "16000 maps for Heroes of Might & Magic 3" (I haven't seen one myself, but one person wrote that he has it).
However, it's not just about greed: sometimes you can find good maps in these collections that are not available in online collections.

The map is shaped like the continents of Asia, Europe, and possibly Africa. The map is divided into sectors: Russia - Tower, China - Fortress, and I think India - Dungeon. Several European countries - Castles, I don't remember what the others are. Africa is uninhabited by players. Each country/player has a dungeon on their territory with a special hero (Dragon for Russia, Adriana for China, Mutare Drake, etc.) with all skills maxed out, guarded by phoenixes. The passages between countries are also guarded by phoenixes. That's basically all I remember. The size is, of course, XL. I have a vague recollection of a wrong name, something like "Asia Wars." The map is either in Russian or translated. Most likely, it's a map from around 2001. I really enjoyed playing it with my friends; I probably got it from a magazine disk (we didn't have internet back then).
Hello everyone! I have a request. I've downloaded many different versions of Heroes 3, as well as WoG, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a map, 3x3 in size, somewhere around XL. The map has predefined castles and heroes. Red - Inferno, Blue - Necropolis, Green - Dungeon against Orange - Castle, Purple - Tower, and also Rampart... I don't remember the color, probably brown. Hello, my friend and I decided to get together for the night and play Heroes, just like in the good old days. Since we only have one computer, we don't want to play against each other, so we want to play together against the AI. Could you please recommend an interesting map for two players, with lots of monsters, artifacts, Pandora's Boxes, Utopias, etc.? We'd prefer a map size of L, so that we can finish it in about 8-10 hours. Please don't suggest overly difficult maps, as our skill level is not very high.
I'm looking for a map. It's set in the heavens, and all the monsters on the map are max level and can't be bought in cities (like Zeus, who throws two lightning bolts at once). The goal is to have fun and defeat them all.
