Why bother learning anything if Cyclops are just stronger??? :D And in general, the strongest unit is the peasant! ;) You just need to know how to play with them :D
And I don't care that poisonous creatures are stronger in terms of stats. It's easier to kill them than vampires, who constantly regenerate.
I'll add fuel to the fire: mages are more useful than golems, elves are stronger than tigers, and monks are cooler than crusaders :D
provocateur...:D although regarding elves and mages....

I think it was great – the ability to choose which faction to play as. With Necropolis, everything was very simple: we build poisonous creatures, and we get vampires through necromancy. There is everything for the convenience of everyone. It's a great game, don't underestimate it.
and the price is right, especially since there's no Capitol in the fourth game; the price really helps.
But they have low HP – it's a fair trade-off between price and quality; they compensate with numbers. But I like Angels more because they can resurrect units.

To be honest, I would still prefer Angels over Champions if Angels had a retaliatory strike or at least a first strike! But even though they are not bad, Champions are better in that regard!

Hello everyone!!! I appreciate the version (Heroes of Might and Magic IV: The Gathering Storm). I remember a long time ago, someone showed me Heroes of Might and Magic III, and it made a huge impression on me. But when Heroes of Might and Magic IV came out, I just couldn't stop playing it. And I think it's the best game in the Heroes series. Everything about it is just great... The most important thing is that you can run around with just the Heroes and you don't have to carry an ARMY with you... Sometimes I only attach Black Dragons to the Wizard. A story from life: I was playing on a map through RandomMap, and in a battle against Black Dragons, I managed to HYPNOT
The fourth game is one that, had it been released BEFORE Heroes Chronicles, could have been a revolution in the series and been well-received by fans. But as it is, they felt that NWC just wanted to make some quick money off a popular brand. If the fourth game had been released earlier, we would only be talking about it now. But it was released a bit too late.
Dude, I completely agree with you! Maybe I'll be harassed by all the forum members for my response, but I'll say my piece! Heroes OF Might And Magic IV is the BEST!
Most people started with the third game, and that's why the innovations in the fourth game didn't appeal to them! Well, I don't mind other people's opinions! But there's no need to express negative opinions directly, pointing out the differences between the third and fourth games!!! This transition is a Revolution (with a capital "R" ) And for some reason, the differences are judged as flaws! And now, remember which Heroes game you played for the first time! Okay, okay! Who did I offend? Write! (I already posted this message in the section to vote for the fourth game!)

I'm only playing the fourth game now. I've even abandoned the second game, which I used to hold in high regard. In my opinion, the fourth game is the best in the series. I know I'm going to get flamed for this, BUT... Playing the 2.0 version from Bugisoft, I don't notice any particular imbalance... Maybe I'm just not a "pro gamer," and I don't pay close attention to certain nuances, but playing through Hotseat and against the computer, I don't have any complaints. Neither the balance of races, nor the balance of creatures, nor the balance of schools of magic causes any particular complaints. And now let's consider the best interface in the series, the most pleasing graphics, and excellent design (the third game doesn't even come close with its plastic dolls and puppet animation - that's just my opinion), the best system of schools of magic and ranks/classes/skills, and finally, the magnificent music - it turns out to be at least a simply excellent game. It's just that there are too many changes compared to the third game, and the fanatical fans weren't ready - many still aren't ready ))) and they keep bashing the fourth game ))) And that's not deserved... Please remember that what I wrote is just my opinion )) I've played all the games and a lot of them.
I agree, there's no arguing! I've played all the games myself (I, II, III, IV, V). And my opinion is that it's an UNRECOGNIZED masterpiece by most of society!

Mages are tastier than golems, but I don't really agree with the rest!

Well, I don't know, maybe put the strength of a dragon on it? And against an angel?
I leveled up a Barbarian (after Ranger) with Life Magic and Nature Magic, and you can take castles with Hero 1 (Dragon Strength is worth it)!
But to get such a spell, you need to capture a Nature, Life, or Chaos castle. And even then, it's not a guarantee that it will be available. So, it's just a dream.

Armageddon map, Hard difficulty, I used the editor to make the computer opponents allies. I started as a Rogue, then became a Ranger. There are tons of altars, and it's fun to use Sanctuaries and Mage Towers!:D I was able to defeat huge armies, even very strong ones. I filled all the empty cells with skills! I understood what it means to be a super-hero!:D (Although, I dismissed the summoned creatures every day :D ) I played for a long time, I won't deny it, but I got a lot of enjoyment!

What amuses me the most is when people compare two different games in terms of playability, even though they're supposedly from the same series :) My opinion is that both the third and fourth games are good versions; what seems like a drawback in one is a plus in the other, and vice versa. For example, in the third game, you need to create chains of heroes to quickly move the army around if you don't have the corresponding spells, because units don't lose their turn. Many people enjoy planning mobile transfers and managing to move two or even more heroes with ONE army in one turn :) But in the fourth game, units also run out of turns, just like heroes. Therefore, there are different nuances there – now you need to create chains of units to carry the hero's tomb, which doesn't run out of turns. And accordingly, in the third game, the main striking force is still the army, which you can't do without, while in the fourth game, the main striking force is the heroes themselves. And so on, if you start comparing in detail. Personally, I enjoy playing both of these versions. But the fifth version, in my opinion, is inferior in playability even to the second, but in terms of graphics, it surpasses all versions combined :)

I'm not arguing, the graphics are great, but if you take them away, what's left???.... The same Heroes III! Just another add-on, but in a beautiful package. And that's it! When V was first released, I told my friends: "It's the same as III, but with the engine from WarCraft III! And that's it!:D Imagine IV with that engine!

In terms of graphics, Varik is a hundred times better than Heroes V! I didn't have a single lag in Varik!:smile24:! But what's going on here?!:smile22:

Not the same, but worse :) Try hiding one of your eight heroes somewhere on the map in Heroes V to buy another - does it work? In Heroes III, you can hide them in the inner courtyard of the castle. It's much more interesting to play with if the map is large.
Not the same, but worse :) Try this in Heroes 5: with 8 heroes on the map, hide one somewhere to buy another – does it work? In Heroes 3, they hide in the inner courtyard of the castle. It's much more interesting to play with this if the map is large.
Huge respect to Zdob and IronAxe. They really captured the feel of the game. I'll also allow myself a small comparison... but it will be fair and balanced.
And in 4, units run out of moves just like heroes do. Personally, I think the caravan is a very successful feature of 4. It' same not present in 3. And that's why it often causes me inconvenience. On the other hand, a big advantage of 3 is that you can sell an artifact you don't need. In 4, you get a large number of different and identical artifacts (more than in 3, it seems to me). You need them to varying degrees, but you cannot sell them. And money would come in handy...
And 5, in my view once again, is just great graphics. Any game would envy it... Don't judge too harshly.
