Posts from Heroes 5 – “A masterpiece or an unfinished product?”
What steps should the developers take regarding Heroes 5?
Oh, brothers! No conflicts are needed! We have a peaceful forum!
And we are not going to start a battle here... We will strongly criticize those who dare to speak badly about Heroes 5 ;) (okay, I'm kidding). But in general, I hope no one does that; the dispute with Magnus about masterpieces is still fresh in my memory!;
One is too few, two is too many, and three is a crowd!! So this isn't even beneficial!

We'll have to change our signatures:)
Time will tell. Personally, I liked the demo version, and I have no doubt that the full version will be even better.
Just my opinion, of course.
Счастливее всех босоногий монах.
Then, if that's the case, what are you doing on the forum? Why were you looking for so much news? Just to tear the game down later and say, "Oh, it's just mass-produced garbage; I'm going to go play Lords!"?
I'm discussing the game!
And I've been interested in it for a long time, as well as the previous games in the series and other games in this genre.
And I want a game from my favorite series with a minimum of flaws or no flaws at all.
But Heroes has many flaws. And having many flaws doesn't make it a masterpiece, especially since many of these flaws have no good reason to exist...
For example, the hero interface, which was already mentioned...
Was it bad in the previous games in the series? Did it need to be replaced?
Why?
All skills and the army and the hero's avatar could fit on one screen.
Was that inconvenient?
By placing a new artifact in the corresponding slot, we could immediately see how it affects the hero's stats (primary and secondary) and how it affects the stats of the army units.
But now, you put it in, switch to another window, look at the hero, switch to another window, look at the units, switch to the inventory window, and try a new combination of artifacts. Is that a plus compared to the previous games in the series? No, in my opinion, it's a minus.
The spellbook. What was the need to make such large and not particularly beautiful pictures? There wasn't one. But of course, it had to be replaced. Why?
Why fix what isn't broken? The Nival developers didn't take into account the experience from previous games. Yes, the universe is new (whatever), but the game's principles haven't changed...
I'm not saying that the game Nival created is bad, but it has flaws (IMHO) that its predecessors didn't have, so it can't be called the best, a masterpiece, etc.
Therefore, I sincerely hope that the developers will fix their shortcomings, which are still there, instead of making excuses in a rather primitive way by emphasizing the complexity of the work and the impossibility of carrying it out (and they often do this; the last time they complained about the difficulty of developing a map editor, and that's why there won't be one).
I want to see Heroes 5 as a normal continuation of the series, without flaws. But I don't have much hope for Nival anymore, but there are modders who are already fixing Nival's shortcomings and thereby making the game better.
I don't think it's right to not see the game's flaws and just praise it just because it's Heroes of Might and Magic. Let Nival's and Ubisoft's PR department take care of that. And there are plenty of people here who are willing to promote them.
Let them not be particularly beautiful, let them still need work, but they are still the best. Hmm. It's up to you...
And the argument that you played Heroes 4, so you'll play Heroes 5 no matter what, is not an argument at all.
Well, okay. I'll leave you to continue admiring Nival's "masterpiece."
You still don't provide any arguments...
All the arguments are from the old Soviet cartoon about the rabbit, "And that's good enough"...
The more I read this forum, the more I get the impression that there are far fewer people who like the 5th Heroes game than those who don't. Take, for example, how Nival was criticized. The phrases are mostly like: "They don't know anything, they hadn't even heard of Heroes until they started developing the 5th part, and we could do it better ourselves." Nival develops Heroes not only because it has experience in creating such games, but also because many of its employees are fans of this series. Next - the graphics. Don't like the anime style? But, meanwhile, it helps to create very stylish monsters. The universe isn't the same, well, what's so bad about that? In my opinion, this adds interest - because you can explore a new world without knowing exactly what awaits you. A new story, and so on... In general, they should wait for the game instead of complaining about how everything is ruined in the new Heroes :\

Of course, this is just my opinion.
in Heroes 1 and 2, Enroth
Heroes 3 - Erathia
Heroes 4 - Axeoth
Did they really create stylish monsters???????????      According to you, a gargoyle, a peasant, a red Knight, and a phoenix are all stylish:D :D :D        Well, and in previous games, we also explored new lands
in Heroes 1 and 2, Enroth
Heroes 3 - Erathia
Heroes 4 - Axeoth
As for exploring new lands, that's another similarity with the series!
Why not a style? Even if it's flashy, it's still beautiful:)
Regarding exploring new lands, that's where the similarity with the series lies!
The demo is good. The main thing is that its fate isn't like LRC's—just not like LRC's. I sincerely hope that the final release will be lag-free and without bugs. And I am ready to wait for this, of course, within reasonable limits (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. immediately comes to mind, Duke Nukem Forever). That's it =)
the last time they complained about the difficulty of developing the map editor, and therefore it won't be included.

I'm complicated
and i celebrate it!
The thing is, he is NEEDED! And that means he will be added, the question is just "when?", probably in a patch, but even more likely in an expansion – a good way to make more money from players, because such an expansion will definitely be bought...
