2Wowa: I don't understand why I should make a potentially disadvantageous move just because a bug triggered, which I may not have even intended to trigger.

Ban the spell altogether!
I definitely won't play such a castrated version of the game (even though I haven't had to use Berserk in the final stages yet)...
Regarding the game, I'm watching it now, and I haven't reached Fortress yet, but I want to say this: the situation is like "I didn't even notice the elephant." The mega-bugged generation with a path that allows you to simply walk between allies is a problem. I believe that such a bugged path needs to be forcibly fixed, or artifacts should only be passed through breaking formations, and the army should only be teleported or after both Guardians are defeated – I haven't seen a worse imbalance! Or is it just that allies are generated in different corners and without paths from spawn to spawn – and THIS is a generation error, and not what we see in the game we're analyzing?
I'm not defending Hellight and I'm not against the Fishes (they play very beautifully and cohesively:smile20:!) – but if this is really just a generation bug and not the norm, then the most logical and fair solution to the situation is to replay the game from scratch with new Castles, or without restarts.
Кто к нам с пером придёт, тот от пера и погибнет!:smile51:
And if the physics engine had an accurate description of the berserk mechanic (which is entirely possible, as the mechanism has been known for a long time), would that be considered a feature? Maybe we should just add it to the physics engine?
I definitely won't play such a watered-down version of the game (even though I haven't had a chance to use Berserk in the final stages of a real match yet)...
What if the physics engine had an accurate description of how Berserk works (it could have, the mechanism has been known for a long time)? Would that be considered a feature? Maybe just add it to the physics engine?
We need to add all known bugs to the rules and state whether they can be used or not, so everyone knows.
All known bugs should be added to the rules, and it should be stated whether they can be used or not, so that everyone knows.
Damn it! Finally, a sensible person has appeared!
And what to do in such a case should also be stated in the rules, otherwise the caster will always refer to "but I didn't mean to do that" :)
As for the problems related to the completeness and adequacy of the wording, much has been written above.

The only simple solution is to ban the Berserker altogether. It will be very frustrating to see a Berserker with water walking after building the 4th level of the Guardian Maze.
Зима 2011-12.
perhaps it's the most beautiful spell for battles, capable of turning the tide and one that you always rely on, even without thinking about bugs
but in its buggy version, it's already too much!
and now, using the bug is no longer rare, it can happen at any time if there's berserk and a superstack (like geese), and the opponent doesn't have antimagic (e.g., a warrior without wisdom)
P.S.: I tend to think that the issue of changing the rules in connection with the discussed bug should be postponed for now, until we get information about whether it's possible to fix it in the mod)).

I thought this was a VT glitch... so it's possible in SoD too?.... but even if it is.. bugs are banned in SoD, I think anyone playing SoD who wins this way definitely won't get the victory.
personally, in a similar situation, I wouldn't intentionally create a loop for my opponent, even if it meant losing the game.
a bug is a bug!
in terms of effect, it might be even better than nwctrinity or woggaladriel during the final battle :D
and there's no need to compare it to the infinite ammunition of a ballista; that's just tempting fate – the game has many factors that balance such battles with a ballista, but in FF, these infinite ammunition are useless!
but it's the opponent's right to think differently and even (succumb to the temptation) to use it... for now.
now all hope rests on a mod :)

so, is it possible in SOD as well? ...but even if it is, bugs are prohibited in SOD, I think anyone who wins using this method will definitely not receive a victory.
Only three bugs are prohibited, according to section 5.13; there is nothing said about berserk there.

I almost got confused myself... I don't remember where I read that yesterday, but I found it:
V. Non-standard and controversial situations. Judging.
This section is currently under discussion. Therefore, for now, we are guided by what was in the previous Rules:
Fair play
The most important point: players must play fairly and respect each other.
- It is forbidden to use cheat codes and all kinds of "bugs" during the game.
- The use of cheat codes and all sorts of “bugs” is prohibited during the game.
and everything would be fine, but people cleverly bypassed this rule by declaring bugs as features :smile20:
