I prefer playing as Necropolis. Academy and Dark Elves are my second choices. Thanks to magic, it's quite easy to develop, and you don't have to wait for a certain number of ranged units to accumulate. Although, I also enjoy playing as Sylvan.

by mastering the training skill for humans, you can train everyone into knights, and you get approximately 104 knights per week. In 2 months, I gathered about 800 knights, 200-300 griffins, and 20-30 angels, and now nothing is scary.

I like the Dark Elves the most; they have very mobile troops and strong magic. In the early levels, they have the strongest fighters.

The Stronghold is quite powerful if we are talking about the strongest faction.

I like the Warlock the most. Their magic is powerful, and if you level up the Chaos and Darkness summoning skills, the hero becomes almost invincible.
