So, about the kids.
My child got interested in the game. But, as you can imagine, it's still too early for them to play the full game. They're asking me to activate the cheats, but I can't figure it out.
1. I tried to do it on version 1.4, as described in the patch manual, but the console won't appear in the game, no matter what I do.
2. I installed the add-on, and it has the same description, but there are already so many files in the main folder that I'm lost.
In short, if anyone has managed to activate the cheats, please help. Otherwise, I'm playing, and my child is sitting next to me, drooling.

I downloaded Heroes Twiker. The console still won't activate. What's going on? Maybe Heroes Twiker doesn't work with version 1.4.

I installed version 1.4 today. The console works, but the cheats don't. What's going on? There were no problems with version 1.0.

I have a problem. I decided not to waste time playing the mission and used the cheat @Win (). After that, I was kicked out of the campaign, and all of them disappeared. I reinstalled the game, loaded the saves, but nothing was updated; all campaigns were closed, only the 1st scenario remained, and I don't want to play through Heroes 5 for the 3rd time because I'm tired of it. Now I'm playing as the Elves (I played through it before, but I lost all the saves when Windows crashed).

Sure, but it won't make much difference since my Campaign.sav file is corrupted. You can send it to me. But what version do you have? I have version 1.3. It will only work on the same versions. And then, a save file for mission 2 of campaign 5, or before the battle with Biara.

The general save file works on any version... but the single-player save only works on the same version. I have version 1.4, so I can only share the general save. Send me your email address in a private message, and I'll send it to you.

Installed the patches. Updated to 1.4. Cheats don't work. I'm uninstalling Heroes and reinstalling it, but the cheats still don't work....

Guys! What you're writing is pure snobbery and elitism! I don't play online, and I don't plan to. I've completed parts 2 and 3 on my computer, but in part 5, I'm constantly getting wrecked! I've completed the campaign as the Knights, but in the very first mission as the Demons, both my own and enemy units are attacking me! I can't even run away. This is just unfair, guys. In these conditions, I need an army of Archangels. They will either guard the city or kick some ass. BECAUSE THE JERKS ARE SITTING AT THEIR COMPUTERS AND KNOW EVERYTHING! :smile17:

I already replied, but I think it was in the wrong place. Guys, you're right, but it's still elitism and arrogance. Cheats aren't evil; they're like a drug, so it's best not to start. But in the fifth installment of Heroes, there aren't really any proper codes that would allow you to instantly obtain a powerful army.

And why bother, if you can raise the hero's level to the maximum and wander around with a couple of archers. ;)

I played before and thought the same as you. That cheat codes are simply unfair to everything and to yourself too. Anyway, somewhere in Heroes 4 I'm playing on an XL map, everything is fair, I have a couple of hundred creatures in my castles and then some "nobody" comes to me, and she :) has a couple of thousand cat-drakes etc. and so on. Basically, there was no need to talk about how I got kicked out, it was just frustrating, to say the least. That's when I started using cheat codes :(. And as for them being a drug—that's true :).

if you're playing against someone who isn't cheating and their army is much stronger, it just means you're not a very good player. But if they are cheating, it means they're a weak player. And the computer, at any level, can definitely be beaten without cheating!

I've never used cheats... except for exploiting bugs... but as for the third point, it's almost impossible to lose against the computer (on impossible difficulty), but it's a different story against a human player! And if you lose to a human player, it's only disappointing if you made a mistake.
Right now, I'm playing Heroes 5 HoF (without cheats) and going through it on veteran difficulty...
I'm thinking of trying to play on Hero difficulty, although when you choose the Hero difficulty (for the campaign), it says that it's IMPOSSIBLE...
Has anyone completed the campaign on HERO difficulty (without cheats, of course)?
