Poor guys from the novice tournament played a match for 15 hours. I'd like to know what map sizes HeroesWorld prefers and what sizes you would like for tournaments. M (+-U), L(+-U), XL (+-U)

Perhaps, beginner tournaments should be held in increasing difficulty: S -> M -> L -> XL. Although, if the final battle involves taking one turn every half hour, then... :smile21: However, it was the "veterans" who were responsible for this. :)
Besides, what are 15 hours? The nights are short in summer! ;)

15 hours, that's nothing! Some games take 30 hours to complete. Of course, not in one sitting, but it's nice to relax with a game in the evening after work. Personally, I'd rather play one game on Steam for a month than 10 mini-games... though I don't even play those:p

We played on a small map for about 4-5 hours yesterday, and it took us a week to finish. A 15-hour game isn't that bad.

It's a matter of taste. But 15 hours in one go is a bit much. IMHO.

15 hours per game is indeed a problem. It would be great if a game lasted a maximum of 6 hours so that you could play it in the evening. But even on a small time limit, it's not always possible to finish a large HL+ game quickly. One thing is to play a serious game. But sometimes you need to step away from the computer. That's why I like chess clocks (used in TE-lite and VT versions), so you can step away during your turn without having to explain why you're taking so long. Another thing is playing casually or just wanting to play a quick game (I usually call this "fo-fun"). Then I play on a 2-minute time limit in SOD or 600+300 in VT, which is not enough for a serious game. Unfortunately, the trend is towards increasing the time limit. That's why there are more and more unfinished games in our tournaments.

I find it surprising that people don't enjoy playing maps that can be completed in around 4 hours, with a limit of no more than 4 minutes per turn, which is quite sufficient for a map. Does anyone know of any countries or websites where people appreciate this kind of time frame for playing maps? I would be grateful for any links. I am fluent in English.

Of course, that's correct, but I've noticed one thing: you really like pushing everyone to use Gameranger if they don't want to play the standard maps that are used on Heroes of Might and Magic Vault (HV). If someone enjoys playing M maps, what's wrong with that? That person also wants to play with rules and decent people, not with those who leave after you take more than 5 minutes to make a move (they don't want to wait for such long turns).

You really like to force everyone to play GameRanger, even those who don't want to play standard maps that are used on Hv.

Actually, I have an idea to hold a tournament on Wargroove sometime with a limit, for example, 10800+0 (3 hours per game for each player). If a player doesn't figure out how to win within 3 hours and the time expires, they lose. Chess is played that way.

SC2TV has irregular tournaments; there have been about 5 of them in total. We need a HotS version where everyone plays on Melee maps and games last 4 minutes, and there's always a rainbow in the sky with unicorns walking and smiling underneath it.

There's no problem holding a tournament for Might & Magic: Heroes, but who would be interested? Besides, there are already plenty of tournaments happening. And "Favorites" is on the horizon too.

Will VT be a fan favorite this year?
