Please, can anyone help me figure out what might be the problem? This question is not related to Heroes.
When writing a message, the ability to use the top panel above the message periodically disappears; that is, it simply becomes inactive, and you cannot click on anything, as if the buttons are not there. I've attached a picture.

I have the following problem: when starting a multiplayer game on one computer, in the name input window, the "=" character is constantly (spontaneously) entered, with a frequency of 2-3 seconds. It looks like a key is stuck, but there is no actual key sticking, neither on the system side nor on the keyboard side, only in the game. I tried reinstalling the game, and I recently reinstalled the system. I tried installing both official and pirated versions of the game and different versions (except for "In the Wake of Gods"), but the error persists. It wouldn't be a big deal in principle, but because of this error, the hero's turn is reset directly in the game on the global map, which is extremely annoying. The laptop has a dual-core processor, Windows 7, and otherwise, there are no special features.

Hello everyone! I have a technical issue with Heroes 3... well, not even an issue, but rather a whim or preference. Please don't be mad if I've duplicated someone's question, as I'm pretty sure this has been asked before. Nevertheless: "How can I stretch Heroes 3 to fill a widescreen 16:9 monitor?" The thing is, I've never played the third game on a widescreen monitor... and now that I am, it's a bit annoying. The game just opens in a 4:3 window, and there are large black bars on the sides. I'm wondering if there's a way to adjust the resolution and window format in the configuration files? Please help me solve this problem.

It would be great to have a quicksave option in offline mode, like in the fifth installment. Does anyone know if there's a mod for that?

I don't know how it is in the 5th installment, but the HD mod for the 3rd version seems to include autosaving, among other things.

I'm specifically interested in a quick save/load feature, not an automatic one. I want it to save when I press F5 and load when I press F9, without having to navigate through menus. I didn't find anything like that in the description of the HD MOD.

Well, this feature exists in the game itself: S saves, L loads, but you also need to select the file in the menu.

Hello everyone, searching for a solution to this issue didn't yield any results (maybe I didn't use the search function correctly). The problem is that when I start Heroes in multiplayer mode, the game crashes and displays an error related to the file RMTSEXRC.BIN. My system is a pirated version of Windows 7, and I've tried launching the game through both HoMM and Ranger, but the error persists. The Heroes version is complete. My friend, who downloaded the game from the same source as me, doesn't have this issue (meaning the game doesn't require this file for him). I downloaded the file separately and placed it in the folder, but the error still occurs. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Try reinstalling the game. It often helps.
