The tournament's closure once again confirms my previous post.
Pit doesn't want to return, which means the tournament is no longer needed.
And Sticky, unfortunately, either goes along with it or intentionally ties the continuation of the tournament to Pit's participation, thus adding the necessary "noble" motivation for the latter: to return not only for the sake of the viewers but also for the sake of the tournament participants.
Let's see what happens next with this farce. But for now, it's not the wording of the tournament's closure that raises doubts, but the actions of the organizer himself.
But for now, it's not the doubts of individual people that give rise to the wording of the tournament's conclusion, but the actions of the organizer himself.
HERE!!! This is what I've been trying to say all along.
I just don't understand one thing, Yura. Do you think we should have just watched how things unfolded, kept silent, and pretended that the disqualification was justified?
Keeping silent isn't necessary; the community has the right to express its opinion about what's happening. And it is expressing it, which is a normal phenomenon. I myself have had disagreements with judges and organizers many times.
The question here is about the goal and the effectiveness of the methods used to achieve it. What exactly do you want, specifically? Of course, within what's possible. That is, it's already too late to demand the rehabilitation of Rebel; we should have acted sooner.
My idea of how things should unfold is roughly as follows: 1) The tournament continues. 2) Stiky remains in charge. 3) Tinker is banned. 4) Pit and Neo should resolve their psychological issues themselves; I'm fine with any outcome.
This is the optimal scenario. A less optimal one is a change of leadership. An even less optimal one is Tinker continuing to participate. The worst-case scenario is stopping the tournament. This is the context in which I'm having this discussion. Whether it's going well or not is something time will tell.
Do you have a different vision of what might happen?
Where did you see something different in my posts? You arranged the sequence of events perfectly, according to my understanding of the situation. It's just that it doesn't happen, that's all. The point is that with Rebel's removal, a line was crossed, and from then on, everything should have been done fairly, but there are some excuses, a desire to wait, grievances, and who knows what else. Neo and Pete had a falling out – forum members are puzzled and express their opinions. Sticky was offended. The tournament is over. That's what's happening. And yes, I personally don't like it.

Well, in part, it's not happening because of your efforts. Why did you stir up negativity against Stiky? Did you think it would help bring about the events you mentioned? In my opinion, it's the opposite; you seem to be more of a force of destruction.
I want Stiky to learn to make decisions independently and without emotions in situations where all hope rests on him. For now, Slava is acting like an offended person, and this is not the first time I've seen it. A firm decision is needed, and he shouldn't back down just because there were efforts to establish connections with China and other resources. Everyone should be treated equally. But his attitude – "I spent so much effort to get them to play with us, and I can't just drop them now" – is unacceptable. This is not right. Slava is a very kind person, and it's great that he organizes tournaments and tries to unite the Heroes community, but he is the one in charge here, yet he keeps trying to distance himself from that responsibility. And that, again, is not right.
I want Stinger to learn to make decisions independently and without emotions in cases where all hope rests on him.
And that's exactly what he did – he made a firm decision and disqualified Ribellius. Yes, it might have been the wrong decision, but it was a firm one (he's not stupid; he perfectly understood the reaction it would provoke). So why, after he did what you wanted, are you trolling and discrediting his actions? Should he only make "firm" decisions that seem right to you?
In general, it turned out as usual – instead of offering and doing something constructive, most people will just sit around and criticize those few who are actually trying to do something. (This is just like old women on benches or people at gatherings – everyone feels like they're the smartest and starts criticizing how immoral the youth and the government are).
I don't understand why Stinger has to explain to everyone why he made a particular decision. You should accept it (his decision), yes, point out mistakes, but accept it. The person who should be thanked the most, who spent a huge amount of time and effort on this tournament, received a lot of criticism in return.
In his place, I would also wonder why I even need all this.
P.S. Moreover, as I think, this is even ingrained in the mentality; the Community from Western Europe would have reacted differently.
I'm closing the tournament due to the obvious and complete loss of trust in the organizer.
So, it turns out the trolls won?! "Destroying is easier than building." In any case, a huge thank you to Vyacheslav for the idea and organization! It was interesting! I hope that this wonderful project isn't dead yet and will be resurrected. So, the number of players in Heroes 3 is decreasing...
No one ever pushed for a "ban wave" on STICKI! By the way, 90% of the people who have expressed their opinions here are influential figures in the Heroes community. So, they criticized STICKI's actions, and they had serious reasons for doing so; banning cheaters is not something to be taken lightly. Slava himself has done a lot to develop the Heroes of Might and Magic community, so it's not appropriate to resort to personal attacks because of this incident.
