Posts from Турниры HeroesWorld Cup & World Cup - 2012
@Pit and Neo: I really dont see the reson to totally ruin the tournament with this action. There are alot of H3 fans who has an interest in the world cup and will be disapointed here. Sticky has put in alot of work and even made the hard decision when it mattered. If he had made the opposite decision you could have withdrawn because of that too. I think you should reconsider it. What do you gain from withdrawing?
2Maretti: I'm sure you see the reaction of the Russian-speaking community. The "cheating" claims are refuted by the game's logic. Even those who believe that the player is guilty agree that there is only one debatable moment, but not outright "cheating".
I'll play Captain here.
Recently, I've only been following this tournament and I was a bit taken aback by the whole situation and the stupidity of the decision-makers.
Removing Rebelliosa was fundamentally wrong and short-sighted; I don't know what the judges and Sticky were thinking, and why the decision was made so hastily. It's a big mistake to disqualify someone from the 1/2 finals for such... nonsense, and I doubt the same decision would have been made if Tinker had been the accused.
In any case, the removal would have triggered a chain reaction (which it did), the next link would have been Pit (who shouldn't have played in Rebelliosa's place), and so on. Even if someone had played all the games with an open map and won the tournament, the damage would have been much less than it is now.
It's nonsense, overall. And the name is to blame for everything. "WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP" in H3 online is an oxymoron.
Пусть мой враг будет силен и страшен. Если я поборю его, то не буду чувствовать стыда.
It's a pity that due to this situation, Mareti will advance to the final without a fight. I also have to withdraw from the tournament. Thank you, Pete, for the interesting and exciting games, and for the heroic spirit in them.
This is nonsense. Cowardice and irresponsibility. People competed in the qualifiers on various platforms, then cheered separately for the resources and for "our guys" - what was the point of all this?
Perhaps it’s not too late to reconsider the decision regarding the rebelius, revert it, and reinstate him in the tournament? Because the current situation practically puts an end not only to the current tournament but also to the possibility of organizing such tournaments in the future. After all, this is the only truly international tournament that generates a lot of interest (the interportal doesn’t quite reach that status; after all, Heroes is essentially an individual game, and a team tournament isn’t as much of an incentive for most participants), and I personally would like it to become a tradition.
I believe it is wrong and unacceptable for the main contenders to withdraw. This could ruin the tournament and show disrespect to the organizers and viewers.
+1. It is not allowed to leave the tournament!
An amazing decision :). It seems something else happened behind the scenes. Based on what's written here, it doesn't seem like they both agreed with the host's position.
But the main question is, why? I think they perfectly understand that their actions are effectively ending future tournaments of this format. What are they trying to prove, and what are they fighting for – I don't understand. If there are no more tournaments like this, who benefits?
P.S. On my part, I would like to note that the behavior common in the Heroes community, "to spite mom, I'll freeze my ears," doesn't do credit to grown men. But okay, it's their right...
Wicc beat me to it. But I'll add my thoughts (I think many will agree). Those who watched the online broadcasts until late at night (like me) are now, to put it mildly, "confused" (shocked, in Russian). This is not the way to do things; what was the point of playing at all? Everyone understands force majeure – that's real life, but this... Let Maretti withdraw too, claiming that the tournament didn't determine the strongest player. And then what??? Should all the results be annulled? Interest in the tournament will fade...
Can I find out whose five saves were posted here? One, most likely the fifth one, with explanations in English, is from BlackKnight, but what about the others?
I looked at the saves, gave my opinion, and I'll add that catching a cheater is often a gut feeling. And it's very telling when several people say/suspect the same person. I know Rebel, he's a good guy, but he plays a little weaker than Pete (as Kiev showed), and I also found it suspicious that he won 2-0 against Pete. I think he might have cheated against Black, who has a known reputation as a cheater... I'm less sure about the others.
About the Chinese player - I'd also like to hear his explanations. From Oelm - also, why is it necessary to launch another version of the game while playing in a tournament? From Maretti - his 111 in the first game against Thinkeer - I can't understand why he immediately sends the main hero from the castle with a group of other heroes along the road (there's nothing visible there).
About protecting cheaters - if you have to prove it, even a cheater caught red-handed (the great Alex, with Cobra as his defender) clearly shows us that everything is very subjective.
It seems Oelm wrote that Pete is also withdrawing from the tournament? And Pete and Neo acted like little boys, not like fighters. Vika +1 for her cold-bloodedness.

I didn't have time to write, Wicc was faster. But I'll add (I think many will agree). +1. I'm watching how they're washing their hands here, like Pontius Pilate, and I'm disappointed, to the point where I want to throw a rotten tomato. Shame, in one word! :smile48:
2Cap: Rebel still won 2-1 against Pit. 3 saves from Black and 2 from Pit. 2 Neo & Pit: What are you guys doing? What kind of removal is this?? What do you have to do with it??? 2All: I didn't expect such fierce and pointless defense of Rebel from many, especially from those who were shouting that they didn't watch the saves. And for those who did watch, there's no need to hallucinate that 4 saves were simply fabricated. 2 Rebel: Your chronology is certainly absurd. It started after your first game with BK...
Red, honestly, grow up a little, and then tell the guys what's nonsense and what isn't. For me, something inexplicable happened when, in our only tournament match, you took the auto-pick because you couldn't get the Utopia. I thought you had some kind of trouble or were intentionally losing, but you took the Utopia with a lot of power, which I was supposed to take on my turn, and that ultimately decided the outcome of the game. Since then, everything you write doesn't deserve serious attention.
Pit and Neo, there's no point in arguing. The situation is difficult; everything now depends on what decisions Sticky makes and how everyone perceives them. The tournament is really falling apart, and that can't be allowed to happen. With or without games, someone has to play against Maretti in the final. Flip a coin if everyone doesn't care. Between two or three players).

Well, nobody has canceled freedom of speech ;) So don't tell me what to write and what not to. Piterius

I was away for the last two days, and now I come back and see this... My initial thoughts are to talk to Neo and Pete, and if they don't agree to finish the tournament, I think we can cancel it. Regardless of the tournament's fate, I'll still deal with the Chinese player out of spite.
