Okay, for now I'll list the main features of WT from what I can remember, as there are quite a few. Maybe SoD will get some of them someday, but I don't think it'll be soon. So:

Also, spells that clearly didn't match their levels have been reweighted 3 Built 2 dwellings in the town 4 A normal starting army, i.e., the absence of 10 gnolls at the start 5 No useless skills (although one could certainly be stubbornly insistent and say that there is a certain charm to obtaining Keen Sight even in SoD) 6 Anti-cheat. Not a panacea, but still. 7 Logistics and some imba heroes have been fixed. Exception: Brogh. 8 A more normal balance of castles than in SoD. Exception: Taver. 9, 10 etc. - for those who like them - potions, disabling morale and stacks, spells, unnecessary artifacts, timers, etc..
At least the first 6 points are worth looking into. It's foolish to deny that they improve gameplay, and significantly so.
