It seems no one listened to Heimr, and the Thane became even angrier. The guards gripped their hilts tighter and prepared to attack.

Heimr concluded that he was hallucinating and decided to change his tactics: he threw his axe on the floor, raised his hands above his head, and collapsed to his knees.
- Spare me! I am not guilty; I was bewitched! The Empire... an evil mage, an explosion, teleportation... - he wanted to shout "Hydra!" but restrained himself at the last moment, realizing that such a word would be unpleasant for those around him. - Please! :'(

No one pays attention to Heimyr's attempt to surrender, and everyone rushes after him. Left without his axe – his only means of defense – the dwarf dies.
