Hostor approached the merchant’s house and opened the door to let Lei Lan go ahead, but on the floor, as could be seen from the outside, someone was apparently settled, and there wasn’t much space.
- Wait for me here, I’ll be right back, - Redram smiled at his companion and went inside. First, his eyes were naturally drawn to the scene – sleeping… Huh? A dark elf and a black panther? Are you kidding me! The mage raised his eyebrow in surprise. Surely, I haven’t been drugged in just a few moments! What is this nonsense? Hostor looked at the hostess with eyes full of bewilderment. She was very attractive, to say the least, and this somewhat relaxed Redram.
- Hello, beautiful. I… um… won’t I be disturbing you? - the mage nodded towards the sleeping figures.

Having finished his meal, the young elf let out a loud belch of satisfaction. But, hearing laughter from the table next to him, he snapped out of it and blushed, as much as an elf can blush.
- I wish I could just relax, - he sighed dreamily.

Faelvir was distracted by a Nix threatening some person and a Serpentfolk. He had never seen representatives of this race before, only read about them. And he hadn't read anything pleasant. But based on the descriptions in the books, he immediately realized that the threatening creature was a Nix.
"It looks like a fight is about to happen. I should side with this group of people and, possibly, offer help to someone if they are attacked."
Faelvir thought, although he knew he would help even the Nix if it got beaten up.

The first visitor of the day, finally.
- Oh no, not at all. These two... - The girl pointed at the sleeping figures, - these two lovely creatures are my loyal servants, - the sorceress put a finger to her lips and whispered, - I've always liked black, especially on cute little kitties like this, and on appetizing, pointy-eared non-humans, - then she stood in her usual pose and said, - so, how can I help you?

Lindeskar glanced at his companion and, noticing that he was staring intently at something, turned his gaze in the same direction. A strange, pale man. He's reaching for his sword. What? A... a fight! A fight is about to start in the tavern! We need to leave quickly!!! And, without hesitation, literally pulling Faelvir from his seat, the elfling rushed towards the tavern exit, trying to maneuver among the tables and people.

Faëlvir was puzzled by the suddenness of what had happened, but he didn't put up much resistance and left the tavern. But, standing at the door, he turned around, grabbed the elf by the shoulders, and looked him in the eyes.
- Yes, you'd better leave there. But I'm a healer; if a fight breaks out, I can and should help someone!

Hostor nodded approvingly. "It seems things are going well, considering you have such unusual servants," Redram smiled and leaned against the counter. "I'm afraid to disappoint you, but I didn't come here to shop. I was told that you are quite a powerful...witch," Hostor lowered his voice slightly and widened his eyes, "and you are interested in all sorts of curiosities. Won't you take a look at this?" The mage placed a bundle on the counter and pulled back the cloak that concealed the spider-like head.

Powerful? Either it's flattery, or someone has greatly exaggerated, but whatever, a positive reputation can only be beneficial.
As soon as the strange item appeared on the counter, the girl asked with disgust in her voice, "What is this?"

- Yes, you'd better leave that place. But I'm a healer, and if a fight breaks out, I can and should help someone!

- But... but... but you can't help everyone! - exclaimed Lindeskar - You wizards have this... mana, right?

The celestial being, sunk in prostration, felt like a piece of furniture; his hearing picked up nothing but the incoherent speech of the reptile, and his eyes followed the brigand without blinking.
This scoundrel can't do anything to me. Dressed in black, covered in toothpicks, thinks he's cool and scary, deliberately lowers his voice and speaks slowly. We used to deal with guys like that with our bare hands on the fifth sector, and this pathetic groundling is no match for them. I can break a blade with two fingers.
What can you expect from a non-human? Will he splash me with slime? Judging by what I saw after crossing the border, it's better for guys like him not to get too cocky.
