Name: Reinhold Trust
Gender: Male
Age: 28 years old
Race: Selenite
Class: Battle Earth Mage
Element: Fire
Appearance: He is quite tall, approximately one meter and eighty-five centimeters in height. Athletically built, strong, and physically fit. His right eye is missing (the wound is hidden behind a bandage), while his left eye is green-brown, rather large. His gaze is calm, slightly arrogant, and assessing. Pale, but not so pale that he looks sick. His face is elongated, with high cheekbones and a narrow chin; his jawline is of medium width. His lips are thin, and there is a small scar at the corner of his right lip. His nose is slightly larger than average and has a bump on it. His hair is light brown, medium length, and usually combed back. He moves sharply and confidently. Reinhold has a fairly low bass voice, mostly clear, but a slight hoarseness can be noticed when whispering. Right-handed.
Character: Selfish, loves money and power. However, he is not particularly cruel. Although capable of killing for profit, he tries to avoid pointless killings. Though, this is more due to his practicality than mercy. He enjoys strict, clear hierarchies with an obvious leader. He respects rules, but primarily those that benefit him. Quite intelligent and cunning, he understands when to yield to avoid problems. If necessary, he can stand up for himself and demonstrates admirable stubbornness. At first glance, he may seem like a person with iron self-control, but certain actions can quickly irritate Reinhold. Overall, he is quite susceptible to stress and relieves tension through his hobby – cooking. He is rather sociable but does not aspire to be the life of the party, nor is he averse to making jokes. Few acquaintances would call Trust a villain; at most, they might consider him someone who likes to give orders. But don't expect pity from him - he won't appreciate it. From the outside, he appears somewhat arrogant, and frankly, he is.
Biography: Reinhold was born into a poor family; his parents were simple farmers, barely able to afford basic necessities. Moreover, they had to pay protection money to bandits, which further strained the Trust family’s budget. Therefore, when the boy showed magical abilities, his parents, Kenneth and Frida Trust, experienced mixed feelings. On one hand, Reinhold could lift the family out of poverty. On the other hand, they simply didn't have enough money to pay for his education. A solution presented itself fairly easily, although it wasn't pleasant. The bandits themselves offered to pay for the boy's training. In return, he would try to benefit their leader in the future, who was just beginning to build his infamous reputation. With heavy hearts, his parents agreed, and Reinhold went to an academy for battle mages.
Away from his family, the young boy found it extremely difficult. The academy trained not just battle mages but, as the instructors said, "the best battle mages in the entire Empire." Whether this is true or not is less important than the fact that the training was truly rigorous; students were trained not only in using magic but also in wielding weapons. They were instilled with discipline and respect for superiors. At a certain point, they were even sent on combat missions, some of which lasted for days. It was during such missions that Reinhold discovered his love for cooking. Although, initially, Trust's dishes weren't particularly tasty, to put it mildly, over time, he improved. Moreover, he became so skilled that his comrades looked forward to missions (they served terrible food at the academy) rather than viewing them as unpleasant obligations. Incidentally, it was during one of these missions that Reinhold lost his eye, failing to use the stone skin spell in time. Trust graduated from the academy with what was called "distinction," meaning that the student had survived the course. And, now a grown-up young man, he returned home to his parents, whom he barely remembered.
Reinhold found the family farm in poor condition; his parents were getting too old to work effectively. Furthermore, the old deal made with Guy Greed, now a quite influential leader, began to make itself felt. He intended to place the young Trust in the city guard. Although Guy already had informants within the guards, they were either too stupid or not ambitious enough to aspire to leadership, even with Greed's support. The idea of having a capable person, his own man, among those fighting crime had long been on the bandit's mind, and here came along such a suitable battle mage – strong, disciplined, and intelligent. This is how Trust’s career advancement began as a guard. Guy's wealth grew, and Reinhold rose higher in rank; no one remembered the debt anymore, and both were satisfied with the situation. Unfortunately, after a few years, despite financial help from his son, Frida Trust died, which greatly affected both Kenneth and Reinhold. A few months later, Kenneth also passed away. Overwhelmed by the death of his relatives, the last member of the Trust family made several unforgivable mistakes. If before people only suspected the young captain of criminal connections, now there was evidence, and without much ceremony, he was thrown into prison. Help came from Guy, who remembered how much benefit Reinhold had brought him. Greed decided to use the ex-guard again, but for another task. He became interested in rumors about the Holy Grail, and ironically, one of his most valuable assistants just happened to be free from his position. Trust had nothing left to do but agree. However, he intends to use what the rumors say for his own benefit, not for his patron.
