I remember that I was probably running around with -3 morale because I was recruiting everyone I could find. 5. A huge battlefield, 7 slots, and all creatures could be upgraded.

My first favorite was the Castle (with archangels), now I like the Rampart, Necropolis, and Fortress...

3. There was an unpleasant moment that made me stop playing Heroes 3 for a long time. The disc was pirated, and the game crashed when silver pegasi were in battle. Then, for my birthday, I was given The Shadow of Death. And if I don't remember much about the regular Heroes, I do remember the first encounter with Fairy Dragons in The Shadow of Death, when they wiped out half a year's worth of Necropolis growth in one turn. I was also pleasantly surprised by the rich variety of monsters, especially dragons.
