The mirror, as I recall, has a 30% trigger rate, meaning out of 3 hits it will reflect 1 and let 2 pass through. And if it lets the first 2 explosions pass, there will be no one left to reflect the 3rd...

In general, both options are unlikely (perhaps a bug in Heroes, or scripts in WOG), considering that vampires are undead, and the effects that don't kill or resurrect them don't apply to them.

Exactly, it's written like that in the Physics and Mathematics section: even with the Vulnerability Aura, Sacrifice doesn't work on undead.

The best spell in the 5th game is DD (and only that) because: to make the explosion deal a lot of damage, you need to increase your magic power to the required level. But DD requires the same amount of mana, and you can also teleport 4 times with air expertise.
P.S. and explosion is also great, but for mages.
