Regarding the arguments for the Swamp faction. One of the main advantages is the ability to upgrade Wyverns from the Hives. Plus, these Wyverns are very easy to build. What makes Tazar good? On small maps, Wyverns from Hives are usually one of the main units in the stack. In the Hives, most of our units "endure" during the first round. Without a strong ranged stack (archers or elves) in the Conservatories, you also have to "endure." If it comes to taking the Utopia, you will also have to "endure" quite a bit. In light of the above, a hero with the "Defense" specialization deserves consideration.
It's generally a good idea to take defensive skills for the swamp – Defense, resistances, and First Aid are also useful for creatures with high hit points.
It's generally not worth taking defensive skills for the Swamp creature – Defense, resistances, and even First Aid for heavily armored units aren't that useful.
First Aid, along with Eagle Eye, are the worst skills in the game. Neither the Swamp creature nor any other unit should take it.
Yes, and especially considering that health is not restored to its maximum, but randomly, from 1 to the maximum. And if a skilled first aid specialist heals 1 HP instead of 100 HP, then there is no better skill:D :D :D :D :D
Yes, by the way, I've encountered this myself, and it's one of the most idiotic things that should be "removed" from Heroes in the first place! Indeed: why, for example, does a damage spell deal exactly N points of damage, and not a random number in the range from 1 to N?! In my opinion, a tent should heal exactly as much HP as the level of the first aid skill allows - otherwise, what's the point of such a skill?! And, by the way, it's not entirely useless: for example, only a tent allows you to heal dragons (if you don't have the Sphere of Vulnerability, of course)!
Воскресайте, камінні душі, Розчиняйте серця і чоло, Щоб не сказали Про вас грядущі: їх на землі не було… (Василь Симоненко. Люди – прекрасні)
The skill would be useful if not for this issue. If it's like this, why bother leveling it up – it's enough to just carry the tent. I don't use it in the game, but I noticed this problem while testing.
In offline tournaments, I had to use First Aid. It's good on maps where you start with some level 7 creature and can break through a lot with a tent.
In online play, I used it deliberately only once, in a mage tournament - I started as Gem with the idea of building a strong army. By the way, 2 unicorns with a tent were good at breaking through ranged units.
Regarding the choice between Crag Hack vs. Tazar, you need to look primarily at the skill build, whoever has a better skill tree should be prioritized. And it also depends on the random artifacts; if you get a lot of luck artifacts, then Tazar is more interesting, and if there are a lot of stompers, then you can also go with Crag and a ballista. Or you can just stick with Gurny :)
I read that the Swamp faction is the weakest. They only have three levels in their Castle. So, is there any chance of playing with them against the Conflux, for example?

It depends on the map, but there is still a chance to win, although it's a bit smaller.

The Swamp and Stronghold factions require experience from the player. The opinion that they are weak arose because many people play the game, but only a few play well. A couple of years ago, I thought the same thing until I came across this portal. Then I registered and am now slowly studying the materials, changing my play style. Yes, the Conflux is one of the strongest factions, but not because of the 5th-level guild, but because of the double army growth, good speed, and overpowered heroes. In essence, you can realistically get 200% bird bonuses on the second week, which means there will be no problems with development afterward, and with some heroes, you can even start conquering Utopia. At 160%, the picture doesn't change; the only difference is that the bird bonuses will definitely be there (in 95% of games). In general, for everyone who is just starting to learn the game and wants "results" tomorrow, it is better not to choose the Swamp or Stronghold factions. Also, it will be easier for you to play at the beginning with a mage hero rather than a warrior. And it will be easier to clear neutral creatures with archers than with, for example, wyverns or basilisks.
