And there's no other symphonic metal like it - there's symphonic power, symphonic gothic, symphonic black, symphonic anything, but not pure symphonic. This band created the genre itself with their album in 1996, after which a huge number of different bands in the "symphonic anything" genre appeared. Perhaps the first Nightwish album and the later Epica albums are closest to pure symphonic, but still, it's not quite the same - they clearly feature female vocals, while in Therion, no vocals stand out and change with each album. On Theli, there's a rough male voice + choir, on Vovin, Secret of the Runes, Deggial, it's practically just a choir. And another huge plus of the band is that the music is diverse. And unique, as I said above. Each album is drastically different from the others, there are no clones.
