Come on, XEL, forget about it. After all, this is just a twisted take on the new universe, and it's "not great." Besides, NWC and 3DO already exploited the old one to the fullest, so Clash of Heroes is just a minor thing. Moreover, it's only for a select group of DS owners (they don't expect people to use emulators when releasing games abroad).

NWC hasn't released any phenomenally bad games. While the ninth installment is unfinished, it's not a "death knell" for the series. "Crusaders," "Warriors," and "Shifters" are all decent games, albeit with some flaws. In general, elements of Japanese artistic style were present in the graphics of the very first game on NES and PC Engine, but it wasn't anime, more like manga.

And Clash of Heroes isn't a "phenomenally bad game," is it? You just don't like the anime style, well, that happens. But you shouldn't let that affect your objectivity. If you want, I can even tell you why Ubisoft made such a game. You can even figure it out yourself if you think about it (and if your knowledge isn't limited to just Might and Magic).

Because this genre is popular, of course. I personally don't like the anime style as a visual style for the Might and Magic series. This is the problem with Clash of Heroes.

Not at all. Because shortly before that, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords was released, a puzzle game in the anime style and a successor to Warlords – a direct competitor to the series – and it was a huge success. Ubisoft decided not to be left behind, and that's all there is to it.

Yes, Clash of Heroes is coming to PC. And the fact that it's mentioned on the Heroes 6 website isn't surprising, as it's currently the most visited official Heroes website, and the contest itself is essentially on Twitter; they're just informing all the fans.
P.S. Should I buy it?

I don't know if it's worth it. The new version differs from the old Nintendo version only in the graphics (more detailed, although not significantly) and new multiplayer heroes (I don't know how playable the multiplayer is in this game). But if there are more contests, you can try your luck and get it for free, then it will pay off :)

I haven't played the old one, plus I have a bit of a quirk that makes me try to acquire all parts and all editions of Heroes of Might and Magic and Might and Magic. The only thing is, I just can't bring myself to buy the large collection from Buky, but otherwise, I have three different versions (externally) of the Heroes 1, 2, 3 collections.

But this isn't Heroes... Still, if you haven't played it, it might be worth a try.

Downloaded the demo from Steam... Anime!? :eek: In Might and Magic, this is the same as Darth Vader in The Lord of the Rings! Graphics: :smile18: Plot: Compared to the 5th installment, it's actually pretty good... Gameplay: :smile54:, although quite original. Conclusion: The game is a 4 out of 5.
