Has anyone completed this mission? Please tell me how to find the siege engineer’s house. The gates are closed, and I can’t get in. I’ve explored almost the entire map (except for the far right corner; I don’t know how to get there). I found the Tears of Ash. In general, please help me complete the “Surgical Intervention” quest.

I have the same problem with this building; I’ve searched the entire map, but it’s nowhere to be found!

In the Tears quest, you need to find three places of power, but both quests are shown on the kingdom map, which opens by clicking the arrow in the lower-left corner of the minimap. By the way, contrary to the assurances of the Conflux forum writers, the mission didn't seem very difficult to me. I think that playing on the "Easy" difficulty level led me to this conclusion, but a similar mission in the Necropolis campaign was much more difficult, and that's because there were several opponents. And in this one, the enemies are methodically crushed; the main thing is to quickly build a ship and capture the cities on the river. Flamshrein is generally a human city - you don't need to rush; only scripted enemies come from there!

In the cities, negative numbers are displayed in the troop recruitment window.
As a result, I cannot recruit a single warrior.
Consequently, I cannot complete the mission.

Try restarting the game (exit to Windows and go back in). If that doesn't help, replay the mission. Also, did you happen to spend about a week in the town, building up your army?

Reloading didn't help. I tried that right away. I'll try replaying the mission. It happened when I created my third hero, to deliver an army to the main hero. I don't remember exactly, but I probably had one hero, or maybe even two, in my main city.

I'm playing through the mission again. This bug isn't present yet, but another one has appeared. When I go through the waterfalls for the first time towards the gate, the view of the gate opens. There's a hero standing in the gate. From below, another hero, disguised as a snake, is approaching. Last time, this snake went up, and the gate closed. This time, it goes to the right in front of the gate, and the game freezes. The only way out is through Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Looks like I'm just talking to myself. Anyway, the problem is solved. I started taking other cities and waited for the hero from the gate to finally come out. And then everything went smoothly. If it weren't for the bugs, the mission would be quite simple.

As for the difficulty, I'm playing on the normal difficulty level, and the Necropolis campaign, in general, hasn't been too challenging. The first few missions for the Haven faction didn't seem difficult either; everything is going smoothly. The problem of having multiple enemies in the last mission for the Necropolis is solved by building portals in the cities.

I really don't understand how to proceed. I can't cross the water, and I'm exhausted from fighting off enemies. I've explored and cleared everything on the left side of the map. As a result, I can't enter the tall tower with the gates, and I don't know how to open them. I've obtained the Tear, but the second side quest isn't being completed, even though I've rebuilt all the sanctuaries.

How do I open these gates?

Gate – I don’t know, I didn’t open it myself. There’s a shipyard on the map, in the area controlled by the city in the northwest. I don’t remember the name, but it starts with “V”, I think.

I can’t see where the shipyard is; it’s simply not there! Where can I find it? Mark its location on the minimap.

We needed to go west, across the river ;).

I leveled up Antoha following the Path of Tears, fully explored the entire map, and captured all the cities except for Holyflame. I need to find 3 altars, but I've only found 2. The gate with the strange fortress won't open, and I've been running around the map, and I'm getting tired of it :smile04:
What should I do?! :D
