Most likely, Ranger (the thread author) is a spammer. As can be seen from his profile, he registered on November 24, 2009, and then created a thread about believing in vampires on the same day. Judging by the fact that that thread is still active and the replies in it are relevant to the topic, there were no advertising links in the initial post of the thread; therefore, they appeared when the message was edited. Most likely, the first edit occurred before July 21, 2011 (the date of the last edit at the moment), with periodic additions or replacements of links, although this is not certain. And considering that his last visit to the forum under his account was a minute after creating this thread, he seems to have no interest in responding. Also, given all of the above and the fact that Ranger has written only two messages since registering, with the first also starting a new thread, we can conclude that Ranger intends to add spam links to the first message of this thread over time as well.

Quite a careless spammer, I must say.

I don't care about the spammer; the main thing is that the thread was somewhat enjoyable.
