You’re not even the organizer of this tournament, so you shouldn’t be inserting your opinion into the rules.
New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
Why is that? It's not her problem that Kurt and the others didn't manage to agree on a game within 3 months or however long. Tanya wanted to, found someone, and played. And they were just lazy – that's their problem. Let them be disqualified for being irresponsible. Give them zero points for all the games they didn't play, and award points for the games they did play. There's no need for this.

By the way, you're not the organizer of this tournament, and you shouldn't be inserting your opinion into the rules.
You're not even an organizer of this tournament, so you shouldn't be inserting your personal opinion into the regulations.
It's not my fault that you don't know the rules for round-robin tournaments. They've been playing like this on Hv for years.
This is exactly what should have been written from the beginning, and it should be stated in the rules before each tournament. No one is obligated to read about previous tournaments and how things were done. From the outside, it really looked like SevenSan wrote it.
Why so harsh? It's not her problem that Kurt and the others didn't manage to agree on a game within 3 months (or however long it was). Tanya wanted to, found someone, and played. This is already an established practice. I initially recruit people who will play until they win, and I will no longer accept disqualified players without good reason in the future.
Yes, it's true, it's better not to just pick anyone. There was a chance to advance to the next round if Britva had won against Paul, which was quite likely, because on our shared save, it turns out that I was doing much better overall. Here, you try to squeeze out time to play, but whether you advance depends not only on the sporting results. In the 3rd tournament, in a borderline situation, I was eliminated by a coin flip, due to later game endings, and now there are also arbitrary penalties. We need to come up with some more sporting criteria. Perhaps the organizers also need to encourage and help arrange games, and inquire about the players' availability. Because in reality, everyone waits for someone to message them for about three-quarters of the time, and then there's no time left. As far as I remember, only Dirty Player actively encourages and helps connect players to actually play...
I encourage participation as much as time and resources allow. I always ask if there are players who are silent and not engaging, and if so, I start pushing them to participate. But without the players' own interest, the organizer can't do much.

I've posted the bracket in the second post!
Good luck to everyone!:smile02:
Num, I didn't post about my victory over Lady. The results in the grid are incorrect; Scorpion has 3 points and advances to the second round ;)
