This is intended for the demo, not the beta, and that's the problem. Either you need to install the demo, or (I assume) change the name of the folder where the beta is installed.

The official website announced the upcoming release of a new patch 1.4 for the public beta.
The changes include the ability to play online with not two, but six live players, automatic chat creation when playing in multiplayer, fixing several bugs, and balance changes.
Unfortunately, when downloading the new patch, all dynasty bonuses will be canceled.

What does it fix, and will it be compatible with the demo? Because I'm currently using it.

My impressions of Might and Magic 6 are mixed. On the one hand, it's interesting to explore the new features, but on the other hand, some things are really annoying, like the lack of a display of creature growth in the castle and the number of days it takes for a hero to reach a certain location. Of course, there are also some positive aspects. I liked that you can start playing without any disadvantages: level 1 - reinforcements, level 2 - restoration, from the ground, which is also vampirism (this is really cool:D, a spell that was level 5 in the previous game and required a lot of effort to obtain, can now be taken at level 1 without any difficulty, and later it can even be made a General skill). I think everyone will use the General vampirism skill against living races.
Overall, I still prefer the original fifth game. Although, there was also a huge difference between versions 1.0 and 3.1. I will wait for the release, patches, and expansions, hoping that the sixth game will eventually be perfected.
