I'm hearing this for the first time too =)) The Stronghold isn't overpowered; it's just good for rushing... And "Conflux" is always considered overpowered.

I completely agree with that 100%. Another overpowered town is Necropolis, especially if a Necromancer gets the Amulet of Undead. People won't even have enough Angels of Haven, even if they have 5 Havens, if the Necromancer with the Amulet runs around for a month or two!
Yeah! Then we need to create an artifact that, on its own, casts a free spell at the beginning of each turn, destroying undead! And elements are still overpowered!!!!

I still believe that any castle can be defeated by any other. And there's a way to counter the Conflux! Everyone is strangely silent about such a wonderful castle as Inferno! It's an excellent castle! Efreet are awesome! I've liked this castle for a long time, and I still enjoy playing with it sometimes. If you list the castles in order of preference, you get: 1. Necropolis 2. Inferno 3. Dungeon 4. Tower 5. Conflux 6-8. Haven 6-8. Fortress 6-8. Rampart 9. Swamp

Indeed, an interesting combination... when I started playing Heroes III, I was really into the Swamp, but then I cooled off (probably not without the influence of the "winter town" :) ) and switched to the Tower...
