An idea came to mind. Or rather, it came to someone else's mind, but I'll voice it: D
Is it possible to implement something that, during a battle, when you right-click on an enemy unit, it highlights the shadow of its movement path, just like in Heroes 4.
A question arose regarding the F2 function, specifically when the "Multi-instance detected" message appears. In what situations could this trigger? The person I was playing with, who received this message, says that nothing else was running besides the in-game chat (the chat itself doesn't affect it, I've checked). The player is well-known, and others vouch for him, so there's little doubt about his integrity – what else could have caused this message? P.S., he wasn't playing another game simultaneously, according to him.

I also checked – it doesn't affect it. It's possible that the game was running in the background, I don't remember, it was yesterday. It would have been easier to ask right away.
The following bug occurred: both mods were active.
During a turn-based battle, when the attacker was about to act, they cast Mass Skin on themselves, but it affected the defenders instead. After that, we started seeing each other's turns on our screens (I could see his Rukh's turn, and he could see my Fae's turn). We couldn't figure out exactly how it happened, but one theory is that during my turn, he saw the wait action of my Fae and opened his spellbook, deciding to cast Skin at the moment I was about to initiate the action. As a result, it seems that both my wait action and his Skin spell triggered simultaneously, but the effect was applied to my units. So, the bug seems to be that the attacker's turn started prematurely, and the defenders' Skin spell was triggered as if I had cast it during my turn. Something like that...
Of course, it's great that everyone experienced this, but maybe someone can suggest a way to prevent it from happening again and get rid of these bugs.

If this happens between two players, it will continue to happen. It cannot be fixed by saving and reloading.
We reloaded and ran the battle without the bug.

Thank you for the excellent mod!
However, I'm experiencing some unpleasant mouse behavior with it:
When playing in full-screen mode, the cursor moves in jerks.
In windowed mode, everything is fine.
The resolution is set to a non-desktop value, so I assume that when switching to full-screen mode, the cursor movement is "scaled" from the original resolution to the desktop resolution.
Is this happening to everyone, or is there something that can be done about it?
the movement does scale. However, I don't notice any unpleasant stutters on my system. Perhaps the issue is that the rendering is lagging because scaling the image requires a high processor frequency.

The rendering is indeed slow, but the processor isn't fully loaded at that moment (one core out of two is loaded at 50%, and the overall load is about the same as in windowed mode).
In general, if you look closely, it seems to lag in windowed mode as well. But it's not much, maybe I'm just too demanding. :)
Okay, maybe this is normal behavior; I'm just not used to it after 800x600. Sorry for bothering you.
The slowdown is really due to the rendering, but the processor isn't fully loaded at that moment (one core out of two is loaded at 50%, and the overall load is approximately the same as in windowed mode).

I can't say for sure, but it might also be due to the video card drivers (you can try downloading the latest version from the manufacturer's website or from wwww.driver.ru). Also, update DirectX.
In DirectX, in the Display tab, is "AGP Texture Acceleration" enabled? If not, then the drivers are definitely not fully functional.
If you have a dual-core processor, there might be a problem with various processes being launched twice, which can cause slowdowns (similar effects). This can be resolved by minimizing and forcibly terminating one of the processes (but you need to identify which one to terminate – usually it's rundll32.exe, which significantly loads the processor).
However, everything runs normally for me, both in DirectX 11 for Win7 (1024x768) and in DirectX 9 for XP (1024x768), both in windowed and fullscreen mode (the resolution is lower than the desktop resolution).
You can also try installing DirectX 10 for XP as an experiment, but the consequences of this are unknown. :) But I don't think it's a big deal to sacrifice one or two Windows installations for the sake of the game:D
