Watched Thor. I liked the concept. I liked the beginning of the movie. I liked Asgard. I'll note the successful choice of the main actor; he's charismatic. But... much more could have been extracted from such a plot.

Saw 2 and 3. Saw 2 is worth watching. Not for the ending, like the first one, but for the process; the ending isn't impressive. Saw 3 is garbage. The adventures of the test subject are made without any soul; the pseudo-philosophical sentences are cliché and worn out; the final monologue is simply pathetic; no one is pitied; everyone is expendable; the ending is of the "lol, what else can you say?" variety. Neb, if you haven't watched this movie, but decide to watch it sometime, don't bother watching anything beyond the first part; it's hardly worth it.

Watched the movie Astral. I rarely watch horror movies, except maybe to watch some zombie flicks, so it's been a while since I was this scared :D Definitely watch it right before bed, in the dark, and with good sound (which, by the way, is excellent here). 10/10.

Many "reviewers" on Kinopoisk love to show off their bad taste and give ten out of ten to various pieces of nonsense.

1066 The Battle for Middle Earth



A documentary film made for the History Channel. It wonderfully portrays historical events from the perspective of ordinary Anglo-Saxons. It left a very positive impression; I recommend it. Especially for Vissi.

Watched "I Am Number Four" yesterday. It's not depressing, it's watchable, but not something everyone absolutely has to see. Today I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 3D. I won't go to any more 3D movies. It's very dim, and you can't see anything. Although, it might just be the 3D in my village, I need to see it in Moscow and compare. As for the movie itself, it disappointed me. It seems the creators were too busy with these empty 3D gimmicks. The previous three films are noticeably better than the fourth.

By the way, I watched "Shades of Darkness" a couple of days ago. It's an interesting movie, worth watching. Based on the trailer, I expected it to be depressing, but it wasn't. Although, it's not a masterpiece that everyone needs to see immediately.
Today, I watched "Cobra". It's a movie for sixth-graders. Pew pew, explosions, ninja, tough army guys, girls in armored bras, super weapons, top-secret stuff, diving suits, invisibility suits, and so on. It's boring.

Parts four and five. I don't even remember what they were about anymore, and I don't understand why I keep forcing myself to watch these wonderful movies. Strangely enough, in my opinion, they are better than the third one, although essentially they are all the same.

I watched your… thing. Maximum gore, minimum meaning. It’s only for gore fans.

Dreamers (Bernardo Bertolucci's film, 2003). Brief plot summary from Wikipedia: The film takes place in the days leading up to and during the May 1968 events in Paris. Young American Matthew comes to Paris as part of a student exchange program to improve his French. He spends most of his free time at the Cinémathèque, enjoying modern films and film classics with other film-obsessed teenagers.
There he meets his peers, Isabelle and Theo, who claim they were conjoined twins at birth. The new acquaintances invite Matthew to move into their apartment while their parents are away. Gradually, the American realizes that Isabelle and Theo's closeness is on the verge of incest. Detached from the world of student unrest, all three wholeheartedly devote themselves to sexual and psychological experiments... Unfortunately, I didn't watch the film from the beginning. There are many different scenes in the film, but I didn't like it for that reason. I was most impressed by the conversations between the two guys and the relationship of this trio, which can be described as "free," but at the same time, they live in their own "little world," live for each other, and cannot live any other way. I tried to put myself in their place (rather, in Matthew's place), imagining that I lived with such a brother and sister (especially since I have acquaintances who could be these "brother and sister"). I won't say that I wouldn't like it. On the contrary, it seems interesting, I even like something about it, and I don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe I would even try it.

I watched the Russian film "It's Not Harmful to Dream." I feel like I've seen this somewhere before...
Topic: a friend slept with another friend with the help of a wizard... :D
And somehow, everything in the film feels unrealistic when it comes to depicting Russian everyday life: a thick layer of varnish and fantasy...

I watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy by Goblin. After playing the game, I expected more, but the movies are funny the first time, and boring the second time! Overall rating: 7/10.

I have a different opinion. I saw it a long time ago, but I watched it again later. Each time, I discovered more and more funny moments that I hadn't noticed before, so I really like it. But I don't know if it's fair to evaluate a "goblin" video as a full-fledged film, because, apart from the funny translation and a couple of photoshopped inserts, everything else is taken from the original.
