Do you find it hard to believe? But I'll answer – because even if repairs are needed there, which is unlikely, it happens in a regular action window where companions help, while extracting Skynet's brain happens in a dialogue window, where followers can't interfere. Also, science in the dialogue helps to create an antidrone and something else, so don't be sarcastic. Oh, you actually believed me, sorry then.
Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?
Burst fire: Requires ammunition. Deals good damage. Chance to hit friendly characters when firing over their backs. Burst fire is used by cool guys.
Aimed fire: High damage, one shot out of ten when a critical hit occurs. Low ammunition consumption. Accuracy. Being a show-off.
Fixed it for the sake of truth. I can't imagine how anyone can be so clueless as to repeatedly level up the same skills every time they replay the game. Also, only the Boar eats a lot of ammunition; the rest of the weapons use a normal amount.
Nah, I don't want melee units. I'll just run around without Sulik for once. He's the only one who can survive for a long time. Goris is easily killed towards the end of the game, especially with machine guns. Although, everyone is easily killed with machine guns there.
I like how Archik has been theorizing for half a day about how he's going to play Fallout, while continuing to sit in his Haven and add clips. Arandor is just Arandor.
Which clips are you talking about? And who said I'd start playing right now? I'm preparing a presentation for my thesis defense, lol. If I have time, I'll play in the next few days. For now, I'm thinking about the character. My thesis defense is on Saturday, and before that, I need to meet with the professor and show her everything.
Added after 29 seconds So, after the 14th, I'll be able to play normally.
Are you an idiot? Playing once as a small-gunner who walks around with a crappy hunter's rifle, with a twine-wrapped stock, perks for critical hits, and endless shots to the face, replacing it with a Gauss rifle at the end – everyone played like that. But to claim that this is better and more effective than even a basic Avenger, you can only do so if you haven't played with heavy weapons. If you haven't played with heavy weapons, you haven't lived. It's interesting, destructive, and cool. Going through every time with a 9mm pistol-shotgun-rifle? That's just being a complete bore. And I assume you haven't seen a jackhammer in action either.
Yes, I also Googled "cocaine" and wanted to post the same picture here, but then I thought it was too cliché.
When I first started playing Fallout, I used all sorts of junk, like jackhammers and automatic weapons with burst fire. Rifles seemed like a complete waste of time back then. A rifle is much more effective than wasting ammo and lugging around heavy machine guns. One of the most boring ways to play is by relying on heavy weapons. You run out of ammo and nervously search the body of a lone bandit with a light pistol, hoping to find some ammo for your precious machine gun. You're starting to talk about "every time" again, but no one is saying that happens every time. You can even play without any weapon skills. But light weapons with a scope are much more effective than random bursts and even heavy weapons.
Tomorrow holds no promises Except the ones we've made
So, we've figured out the reason for the disastrous outcome: Vissy is a noob and a loser.
He wastes ammo shooting into empty space and carries heavy machine guns on his back. Why waste ammo on nothing when you can shoot at the enemy? Of course, it's better not to do this from behind cover, but doing it from half-screen distance can be a one-shot kill. How can you possibly spend all your ammo? I don't know, but I had a storage room in my military base where I kept the bulk of my ammo, rockets, and flamethrower fuel, and I kept a smaller supply in my highwayman's inventory. I tried really hard to use up all my ammo, but I couldn't.
And large-scale battles, like those against the Navarro, slave traders, or bandits, are just a breeze. The psycho goes crazy, walks into the middle of the room, fires two bursts or streams of fire, and half a dozen enemies are lying on the floor. It's more effective and more spectacular than stepping out of a doorway, shooting twice at the eyes, getting a "deadly claw inflicted a wound with no consequences" message, and then reloading with the remaining two action points. If you can't shoot without hitting your companions, for example, then you're unskilled. If you can't adjust their behavior so they don't run into bullets, then you're unskilled. Although, I usually played with heavy weapons without companions. If you're wasting thousands of rounds, then you're doing something wrong, and you're unskilled.
It's obvious.
And if you need to kill someone specific, then nothing beats firing bursts from the Jackhammer at close range. It deals an insane amount of damage, only surpassed by the Bozar.
Although, judging by the fact that you called it garbage, I doubt you even know what weapon I'm talking about.
