I've always been and remain a fan of the Heroes series, I've played through all the parts and expansions, but unfortunately, I can't complete the WOG expansion due to the lack of a working version of the game. Even with all the patches, the very last, 6th campaign doesn't work... I guess it's just not meant to be.
Among all the expansions, WOG turned out to be the most clever, with a non-standard approach to gameplay. It's not as easy to play as it might seem at first glance. Any campaign map can be completed with careful thought. So, most questions will resolve themselves if you spend more time on the walkthrough.

I quickly read the forum, and there was a question about the "all or nothing" campaign: how to get all the undead out from near the forester's house. Here's how I did it. First, while playing, you should have noticed that some neutral units on the map can join you. But only a few actually join. To increase the chance of them joining, you should have a more or less decent army. The problem, however, is that you don't have one. But here's a hint:
At the very beginning of the game, you can safely attack your own faction's troops (that is, all the neutral human characters: spearmen, archers, griffins, and even archangels). Don't be afraid to attack! In most cases, the army will retreat, but some units may join you. This is built into the game.
P.S.: It may also happen that no one joins. In that case, just start the game again (you run around the map, and no one joins, so you start the map again). This whole process won't take much time (about 5 minutes).
The most important thing at the beginning is not to attack other neutral characters! With a 90% probability, they will fight! Only attack neutral human faction creatures (archers, monks, cavalry, etc.).
Even if some of your human faction units join, don't immediately attack everyone without need! Build up your army; you'll have time.
2) In the city, you can hire troops: halberdiers, griffins, crusaders, and archers. The troops are not cheap! So, you need to buy them rationally. So, who should you take? I recommend archers. Why?
This choice is based on your hero: he has a special skill, "accuracy," which increases by 5% per level. Plus, when leveling up, he may gain the "accuracy" skill, which, at its expert level, gives 50% additional damage dealt by archers.
Since, when playing at the beginning, we don't know if this skill will appear when leveling up or not, you can make it a little easier. Start the game, immediately take experience in the chests. If, after three levels, this skill is not given, then start over. If the skill does appear, then in the chests, take only money, as we will quickly gain experience in battles.

When destroying the undead, speed is important. The longer you delay destroying them, the more difficult it will be. Pay special attention to death knights, liches, and ghost dragons. If their numbers become too large, you will no longer be able to kill the undead! When attacking knights, liches, dragons, and vampires, you should already have the "accuracy" skill leveled up to expert; I don't recommend attacking before that. And destroy the ghost dragons last! You can destroy the skeletons earlier; their movement speed in battle is lower. When fighting liches, you should have "cannon fodder"; in my case, these were the neutral ghosts that joined me. Liches will only attack them, not the archers. So, it is desirable to have such troops in your army, either by recruiting neutral creatures or hiring them in the city.

The map can be completed in the following ways (the win condition is considered to be collecting 30,000 units of wood):
1) Destroy all the undead near the forester's house. After that, you will be given 30,000 wood, and you will win.
2) Cross the river to the upper right corner of the map, where the bridge is broken. This can be done either with the help of air magic spells - teleport, flight, or water magic - walking on water. The trick is that you don't have a spellbook (it's in one of the dungeons), but if you find air or water magic books, you can still use the spells, but only those! Combat spells will be unavailable without a spellbook. Air or water magic books can be found randomly, for example, by collecting shipwrecked sailors or randomly in a dungeon.
You can also cross the broken bridge with the artifact "angel wings," which can be found randomly in a dungeon. I write "can be found randomly" not just like that. The reason is the random distribution of artifacts, so where they are located, there may be another artifact, even down to boots of levitation.
And I'll write two idiotic ways to complete the game; I don't recommend using them:
3) In the upper left corner of the map is a castle with a grail and a resource storage already built in it. Every day, you receive 1 unit of wood and ore thanks to the resource storage and 9000 gold thanks to the grail. I think you get the idea: collect 30,000 wood))) Just click "end day" every time and accumulate. Don't forget to exchange gold and ore for wood on the market!
4) Again, by capturing the castle with the grail, you receive 9,000 gold every day, so you have money. The idea is that neutral monsters on the map cannot grow infinitely; they will have a limit - 4000 warriors in number. They will not increase beyond this number. But you can have more than 4000 warriors. Money will be accumulating for you every day, so you can always hire troops in the city. This is the stupid idea.
Of course, you need to remember that the higher the level of the creature, the more troops you need. For example, 4000 archers will easily kill 4000 skeletons, but not 4000 bone dragons. You will already need 20,000 archers.
But, as I wrote above, the last two methods are stupid, and you shouldn't try to complete the game that way; you won't have enough patience. I just wrote it for fun
