Friends, we need to sort out the accommodation arrangements now. Since more people are coming for the finals than expected, we might need to arrange for people to stay in different places.
Please let me know where everyone will be staying.

Option 1 – dormitory. I will be staying there myself to be with the participants. The main advantage is that it's cheap. Considering that everyone is leaving on the 5th, it will only cost 800 rubles for 4 days. By the way, many athletes stay there; chess players, including sports masters, stayed there last month, and everything was fine. The dormitory is empty during the holidays, no one will be in the way, and they are giving us an entire wing on the 3rd floor.

Those who have chosen this option: Nagan-4, Scorp, Mizrael, Stinger, Borzoid, General Yura.

Option 2 – hotel. Yes, it's better there, but the main drawback is that it's ridiculously expensive; I checked yesterday, and it's already 1200 rubles per person per night! The rooms are double, decent, and also in the city center, with good service. But it's still too expensive.

Option 3 – Kalinin Sanatorium. On the one hand, it offers roughly the same comfort as a hotel; on the other hand, the price is 500 rubles per night. But, damn it, it's 14 kilometers from the city.
Although it's convenient for those with cars. It's worse for those without cars – a taxi costs 250 rubles, regardless of whether it's to the city or the sanatorium. And another drawback is that a lot of time will be wasted; those who stay there will lose touch with the main "Heroes" crowd, they might oversleep, and they will have to wait a long time for a taxi, etc. It's worse than the first two options, in my opinion.

Option 4 – apartments. Damn, I've gathered all the options, and I'll post them specifically on the Cobra forum so he can call himself. From what I've learned, our city is a university town; people come here either to study or to work. Therefore, they rent them out for long periods. But it's worth a try; if any of the options interest people from St. Petersburg, let them call me or write to me in private, and I'll go and check out the apartment they've chosen, and I can even pay a deposit. There aren't any apartments that can accommodate 14 people at once; we're not a resort town. There are some wealthy neighborhoods (Pole Chudes, Pole Nishchikh), but they don't let just anyone in.

Why is my opinion about rented apartments so negative? Simply because I often go to court for appeals, when everyone is crammed into one stuffy room, and by the time it's your turn, you have to listen to all sorts of nonsense. Some of the most ridiculous cases are lawsuits related to rented apartments. An unscrupulous landlord blames the tenants for breaking or stealing something or just making a mess everywhere.
The tenant, in turn, also screws over the apartment owner in various ways.
In principle, judging by my own apartment, the "Heroes" players could cause a lot of damage in five days and have problems with the owners. Besides, contracts are required – but I'll write – try it.

Option 5 – free accommodation for honored guests. The girls Tanya, Oksana, and Querty's wife are coming. I would like to arrange for them to stay in the hotel for free during the tournament; I hope it will work out. The first two are well-known and respected forum members, and we will try to arrange for Querty and his wife to have the best possible accommodation, as he is one of the most well-known people on our forum.

And in general, to organize leisure activities for the guests, not only in the gaming area but, say, to take them on a tour of the science city.

We need to resolve the accommodation issues now so that, upon arrival, we immediately know where to take everyone by taxi or bus.

Regarding accommodation:

The guys from Siberia want to be as close as possible to the group, because otherwise, what's the point of traveling such distances?!..., but not so close that we have to sleep 2 hours with 5 people on one bed and then go to a club with a headache in the morning... ;) :D
