Night 1.
WhiteLizard woke up unusually late and for some time studied the unfamiliarly bright ceiling with surprise. Suddenly he remembered everything, jumped up and rushed to open the window .
The opium smoker (Arandor) blocked Lizard, which is why he overslept; as for the window, of course, he rushed to open it to air out the smoke-filled room.
The unfortunate man was completely covered in clotted blood that had leaked from numerous wounds. .
Everything is clear here: a reference to the Former.
It seems that this night he did not take a four-leaf clover with him ...
Flandre's avatar depicts Hina Kagiyama. I actually knew nothing about her, but in the detailed role description (http://ru.touhou.wikia.com/wiki/%D0%A5%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%B0_%D0%9A%D0%B0%D0%B3%D0%B8%D1%8F%D0%BC%D0%B0) almost in the first lines, it mentioned her occupation as "Collecting human misfortunes." "Did not take a four-leaf clover" = "was not lucky"; well, that's the kind of misfortune our bloody and insane maniac collected.
Judging by the bloody trail, he crawled along the corridor for some time until his strength left him along with his life near Ple-Sen's door. With one last convulsive movement, he clung to the doorframe and remained lying there, blocking the entrance to the room .
As correctly noted, he blocked specifically the entrance to the room, not the exit. A reference to protection, not a block.
He remained devoted to his cause until the very end .
A rather vague reference to the role – the devotion of a servant who protected the house guest.
"Strange... judging by the tracks, the deceased stood near Leang's room for a long time, and then suddenly moved sharply toward Ple-Sen's room . The killer caught up with him somewhere halfway..."
The Lawyer redirected the butler's ND from Leang to Ple-Sen, but was blocked. There wasn't much point in this, and the colorful forced march along the corridor was added solely for artistic flair. Of course, based on the order of NDs, Vegtam should have been standing guard at Leang's room, not crawling between two characters.
Strangely, he was not only fully dressed, but his packed bag also stood by the room doors, as if he intended to go out somewhere rather than go to bed . However, he failed to carry out his intention.
The Doctor didn't have time to go treat Hostor (everyone got a piece of Hostor this night!). He dressed and packed a bag with tools and medicines (I wanted to write "case," but the town is already being revealed too much due to the abundance of NDs, so I decided to veil it slightly).
Someone carefully and skillfully drove a long sharp needle into the base of his skull – death apparently occurred instantly.
Of course, this is Jane's hatpin. I just described it with synonyms to avoid repetition.
Apparently, Zedji knew the killer, as he sat at a set table with traces of a small tea party for two .
During the night, Zedji received a pastry – a rather modest snack, not a feast. Alas, Jane ignores 25% protection, so the pastry didn't help.
"And what is this?" squinting, the inspector picked up a small sticker with the word "Montecristo" from the floor.
Well, here is our smoke-filled clue. own Gur's avatar depicts Alec Guinness, a famous actor. Among his filmography is the adaptation of Graham Greene's novel "Our Man in Havana." At first, I wanted to plant just Cuban cigars, but then I decided to veil the clue slightly by removing the word "Cuban" and started browsing the most famous cigar brands. "Montecristo," firstly, have been produced long enough to be at the crime scene, and secondly, they confuse with their ambiguous name. However, the sticker, gentlemen – surely it couldn't have fallen off a count!
Arandor said that someone knocked on his door during the night
The Detective checked Arandor's status.
A puzzled Hostor noticed that in the morning the chair in his room had been moved to the fireplace , although he clearly remembers leaving it in place, near the table.
Everything was understood correctly; Tracy Tapman was dozing by the fireplace.
But, thank God, the heavy oak door to the room had been tightly locked all night , of this he was sure.
And for complete happiness – a block from the housekeeper. Jose is not forgotten.
Ta Kotoraya... timidly noticed that it seems mice have appeared in the house
She's even complaining, the little villainess! The Vagabond stole food from the room.
and Pandora complained about the persistence and lack of delicacy of the servants .
The head maid burst into Pandora's room for a check, but the room wasn't empty; its inhabitant had been peacefully slumbering there all night. Why are you intruding and disturbing sleep?! Strange that Neyra didn't go to Hostor. Quite a party was shaping up there.
In the morning, the following were sent:
- To Ple-Sen – Arandor's check result ("bad"), + role reveal of one killed (doctor) and an add. clue for Gur – "Schwarzwald" .
In Gur's signature is a quote from Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" where, as we all remember, the main villain was called Lord Blackwood ("Black Forest"). Translated from German, "Schwarzwald" means "Black Forest," gentlemen.
- To Neyra – result of Pandora's room check: "Pandora did not leave the room."
- Postman Nebo ordered the opening of Arandor's note. What luck, a note with ND immediately! The note read as follows: "Heal the soul with sensations, and let the soul heal the sensations, most honorable!"
The entire phrase, except for the word "most honorable," is taken from the novel "Dorian Gray," in the chapter where he goes to "heal the soul with sensations" in an opium den. It's actually much simpler. Google builds this chain in half a minute.
The address "most honorable" indicates an address to the housekeeper: a guest of the estate would not speak so familiarly to a lady; the address is clearly to the staff. If the servant were younger, I would have inserted "deary," but the housekeeper is no longer young (as Lizard himself honestly admitted – old fool), which is why the address is appropriate.

Ple-Sen lay across the room, stretching out one hand forward . From the position of the fingers, it could be assumed that he was clutching something in it , however, there was nothing there now.
Our Detective is the only peaceful person truly armed; it would be strange if he hadn't tried to use the revolver.
Someone sent him to the other world with one precise blow , giving him no chance to defend himself.
Cold weapon combined with a single blow – this can only be Jane.
The source of the burning smell was a pack of some papers thrown into the fireplace.
Since the detective, according to legend, writes a report, these papers had to be destroyed. A second reference to the role.
on the back of one of the armchairs remained a hooded cloak made of coarse fabric
And again I refer the players to Alec Guinness's filmography from Gur's avatar. Obi-Wan Kenobi from "Star Wars" is a role that simply cannot be imagined without this hooded cloak.(http://www.kinopoisk.ru/picture/14687/)
The policeman turned the key located in the door outside and released an out-of-breath and angry Neyra.
That's how the housekeeper blocks; everything is transparent.
The killer squeezed every last thing possible out of him , to the last drop of blood.
In Flandre's signature: "One must derive benefit from people while they are alive." It would have been clearer if I wrote: "the killer extracted everything possible from him," but such a clue would stick out among the description of the night like the Ostankino Tower.
Not far from the body lay a bunch of keys , apparently dropped in the heat of the struggle.
Reference to the housekeeper's role.
Ta Kotoraya... discontentedly noticed that someone had trampled in the corridor between her room and Nebo's room .
The Lawyer redirected the Vagabond from TaKo to Nebo.
Nebo himself glared toward the dining room and repeatedly asked when breakfast would be .
Accordingly, the robbed Nebo is very hungry in the morning.
"And you must be like a camel, storing food in your hump !" he snapped.
Gil received a pastry from the cook; he's happy, full, and own strength.
He looked rumpled and swollen from sleep, and his reddened eyes were watering .
Deep and unhealthy sleep in clouds of opium smoke.
He slept too soundly to shed light on the events of the night; it seemed to him that through sleep he heard someone knocking on his room door during the night .
While the still-living detective checked the Register.
- "Went to Ar, status bad. Your Arthur Hastings."
This was written by Arandor himself.
- "Nebo, don't expose yourself!
Arandor
Or do expose yourself, but without us!
Hostor
Be a cheerful cutie.
Flandre
And better reason things out.
Gil"
Well, this was Hos mocking the list of Nebo's "accomplices," whom he had named the day before.
- "Went to TaKo. Food is disgusting! Hungry and cold."
A third note from the mafia players, just for fun, apparently.
- "Announcement: Check showed that Arandor is a bad person. Zedji was a doctor, and an additional clue to his murder is 'Schwarzwald'. Today I check Gil. Signature: Detective."
A real note from the detective.
- "Last night I was at Arandor's, here is his letter: 'Heal the soul with sensations, and let the soul heal the sensations, most honorable'. Today I go to Hostor. Your postman."
And here is Nebo, the real postman, decided to attract the collective mind to decipher the notes.
During the night, Nebo opened Hostor's note and received the following text:
"Evil has its winning ways, my boy."
Could it be any simpler? We plug the quote into a search engine and immediately see that this is the slogan of the movie "The Devil's Advocate." I didn't use the Russian version because then the search results were too obvious; here they are at least slightly less noticeable. The address "my boy" could indicate the postman or the vagabond, but since the postman himself reads this note and knows he wasn't redirected, only the vagabond remains.

Entering, she almost suffocated from the sharp sweet smell that permeated the room.
Not that I've smelled what opium smells like, but according to descriptions, it smells something like that. :)
The bed was empty, and Registr sat by the fireplace , stretching his legs toward the fire, but he was not enjoying the warmth.
Here is immediately a reference to the role – our protector always sleeps by the fireplace – and to the block, for this time the protector fell asleep in his own room.
With senseless cruelty, his executioner dealt several more blows with a knife to the unfortunate man's chest and shoulders.
Well, that was so there would be no doubt that a maniac killed him.
The body tilted, and from the trouser pocket, several time-yellowed photographs of a young charming girl fell onto the chair.
The town's failure to guess the roles of the killed struck me so much that I decided to add photos of Lady Beatrice – just in case you mistake her for the postman, or I don't know who...
The killer apparently had a twisted sense of humor: on Registr's bloody chest he placed a lovely plush kitten whose paws were already swollen from absorbed blood.
A rather idiotic clue, but since Flandre was going to be killed in the next move anyway, I decided not to hold back. "Sure, I'm funny cute kitty" from the signature.
His neck was adorned with a terrible necklace of bruises .
What maids, what are you talking about? A stocking would leave a line on the neck, not a "necklace"; that's how finger marks are usually described. Of course, Charles killed him, which the chapter title also indirectly indicated, by the way.
A knife with dried blood stains lay aside, however nothing indicated that anyone had been wounded in the struggle .
The maniac's knife, which he had previously used to gut Sir Tappy, was not used during strangulation.
Not far from the body lay a postcard with a view of Vienna , obviously dropped by someone, and a small exotic "matryoshka" toy .
The 50% probability of no clue didn't work. Vienna is the capital, you see, of Austria. Pandora's avatar features the main characters of the series "Inspector Rex," an Austrian series set in Austria. But that day nobody tried to solve the clue. Not to mention the matryoshka planted by the mafia – a toy representing one made from several (clan "Out of many one" in profile).
The inspector questioned everyone and each again, starting with Gil4. "After a game of bridge I went up to my room, had a light snack and went to sleep."
It was implied that Gil played bridge in the general lounge and only then went up to his room. That is, this wasn't someone's ND, but just an artistic detail – I mean, how could he be checked or protected before everyone dispersed? But as for the snack – that's the pastry, yes.
Only the head maid who found Registr was pale and agitated. It seemed she hesitated whether to say something to her or not .
Neyra checked Registr's room. Alas, since Flandre was killed after that, there was no point in revealing the killer.
Notes from the mafia:
"Was at Hostor's, his letter: 'My fickle friend, taste a bit of magic!'. Today I go to TaKo. Your postman."
"'Lizard asked to be woken up earlier - said something about medicines. But when I came into his room... It was terrible! I have never seen so much blood in my life. Barely suppressing nausea, I recoiled. And only then did I notice a shadow flashing in the corridor. I went there, but all I noticed was Gil4's door closing. I am very scared.' Head Maid"
"Announcement: I am alive, your reasoning turned out to be wrong. According to check results, Registr has a positive status. Ple-Sen was the postman, additional clue to his murder is 'Horned Monster'. Today I check Gil. Signature: Detective."
"Went to TaKo - she has two delicious pies, but the mafia players redirected me to Nebo, who tried to eat me and spend the night. :( Hungry and barely escaped."
From the postman
"It turns out my ND is not displayed in the newspaper, so writing who I will go to makes no sense. Hostor's letter: 'Evil has its winning ways, my boy.'"
For the second time, the postman orders the opening of a mafia member's letter, meaning he received directions to both the smoker and the lawyer – but nobody even tried to decipher this letter!
Hermit:
"'Get lost, mafia players' Signature Hermit"
Our vagabond was terribly afraid of being poisoned throughout the game (although, as Zedji correctly told me in ICQ, he could have used himself as a kamikaze – since a poisoned vagabond dies on the doorstep of the one who poisoned him), and decided not to go anywhere at the end. To hell with that pastry.
On the last night there were the following NDs:
1. Lawyer disrupts target (Hostor redirects Leang's ND to Pandora)
2. Postman opens letter (Nebo opens TaKo's letter)
3. Cook sends protection (Leang protects 25% Gil4 – redirected to Pandora)
4. Vagabond steals (Hermit steals food from Hostor, receives 25% protection)
5. In-love maid removes protection (TaKo removes protection from Gil)
6. Sir Charles kills (Pandora kills Gil)
7. Head maid checks room (Neyra checks Hostor)
