We present to your attention the Third Annual Competition for the honorable title of Best Chronicler!

Competition Rules.

1) Any user registered on our portal and fulfilling the Competition Conditions can participate in the Competition.

2) The Competition accepts any reports from any Internet resources, confirmed by links to them, dated from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010 inclusive. An exception may be made for 2 reports from 2009 that did not make it into last year's competition (including due to my fault).

3) Each user registered on heroesworld.ru has the right to submit an unlimited number of reports (or better - links to them, for convenience), and they do not necessarily have to be their own (in this case, the author becomes the participant with his consent). It does not matter what the outcome of the game was for this participant – victory, defeat or a draw.

4) Reports (or simply links to them) can be sent to e-mail: konstantout@yandex.ru or via private message to the host – that is, me.

5) After sending the report, it is recommended to leave a message about this in this thread (the report itself does not need to be left; it is only sent by e-mail or personal message).

6) The deadline for accepting reports: from January 11, 2011 to February 1, 2010 inclusive. However, there may be a slight extension or shortening of the deadlines, depending on the activity of participants and the quorum – approximately 10-12 participants, but it is also possible to divide into 2 competitions: tutorial reports and funny reports – if more than 15 chroniclers participate.

7) The winner will be awarded a prize – an avatar badge on HeroesWorld.ru.

Selection Stage.

1) No more than one report from each participant can reach the Final. If a participant has submitted more than one report, the host selects the best report from this participant at his discretion, guided by the Report Selection Criteria.

2) I will be the main "selector," yes, having usurped all the power of the Judging Committee:smile01:. In fact, I just don't want to burden anyone with this, but in case of hesitation, I promise to consult with at least two or three authoritative Worlders.

Final.

1) Reports selected by the host participate in the final, which is a general vote.

2) Every user registered on HeroesWorld.ru can vote in the corresponding thread. A poll topic with voting options, and, of course, with the actual candidate reports, will be created approximately on February 1, 2011.

3) Each person can only vote once and only for one report. Tournament participants, including finalists, are also allowed to vote, including for themselves.

4) The poll will show who voted for whom and who voted. The poll will end on February 15, 2011.

Report selection criteria:
• practical value (informative nature) of the report (this means such a style of play / writing a report from which players can learn new / useful information);
• artistic value of the report (evaluated based on style, art of writing the report; the game moment plays an insignificant role);
• of course, wit, humor.

Question: Should the reports be submitted only by participants, or can viewers also submit reports?

The contest would generate more interest if a link to the winners of previous contests was provided. At least then people would know what to aim for.

I submitted 3 of my map entries. I hope they will be up to par for the contest.

Igor, with all due respect, your stance is not quite right... Yes, it is good when a person's friends and comrades follow their reports and remember which ones were successful, but mostly it happens that the author themselves don't always remember when they wrote something noteworthy — there are a ton of tournaments + a multi-dozen-page season + various intra-clan events + more than one HeroesWorld resource with reports... Still, naturally, the chronicler themselves is much more likely to recall and find something truly worthwhile from their own reports than even 10 of their friends. IMHO. For me, reports sent by the author's friends and by the author himself are of equal value. I hope your post doesn't discourage those participants who haven't decided yet. Submitting your own report does not mean voting for it; voting should be done for one of the competitors, which adequate participants usually do.

Sorry, I probably didn't formulate the question clearly enough.
Do reports that are WRITTEN (not submitted, but specifically written) by someone who is not a participant in the match, but rather an observer (for example, during a club tournament or a Mikogo/Stream broadcast), count towards the competition?

Qwerty, there was a similar precedent with vbn: Wicс wrote a report, analyzing the save files of a player suspected of cheating, as if on his behalf, with a lot of sarcasm :) - it turned out great! So - you're always welcome, you can also write a report on someone else's game ;)

Just a reminder that submissions for the contest can still be sent in! ;) Since only 7 participants have registered so far, and I would like to have at least 10, I am extending the deadline for submissions by 4 days (so it's not too much of an extension :). I want a resurrection of the spirit of Forrest on World. Even though recently my relationship with him hasn't been great. We still had mutual understanding before Kiev. Well, here's the reply from the maestro)))

Medium respawn. But there is an external dwelling of Orcs and a Griffin Conservatory, so I decide to play. I find another Griffin Conservatory. Tiras is leveling up normally. Spydi, logs. Lots of money. Leveled up Edric with raiding. Snipers from the external dwelling help. On day 121, I took Conservatory #2, then immediately #3. Found 4 Dragon Utopias. On day 131, I take #3 with 60 Wolf Riders and 5 Angels +13 Birds. Three parts of the Titan's collection, without the sword. The next day, another #3. Then another #3. As a result, I have full control. Bought Boots for 25,000. Have advanced fire and expert earth. Mana 400+, Impulse 2000+. Many castles. I think to upgrade Angels at Besha's. But I was 5 MP short to attack the castle. 60 left after Dimension Door, but 65 was needed. As a result, Besha uses Town Portal home, and I'm attacked by 18 Archangels on 1-4-7. About tactics.
