They can't possibly be tasty, judging by their smell alone.
This is what I'm talking about. Our sense of smell isn't just there to help us navigate through a pile of banknotes. If you see how high it is to fall from the roof of a tall building, you don't necessarily have to jump yourself to verify it through experience.
If the fish smells bad, it has likely gone bad. Generally, it has a normal smell, typical for food. After all, a dead cow also smells, its fur smells, and so on, but when it is butchered and washed, the smell disappears. Or rather, only the smell of meat remains.
Well, I don't really like the smell of fish. Sushi, for example. There's also stinky cheese. Spices don't have the most pleasant smell (and I say this as someone who loves spicy food).
Some spices and flavors aren't very pleasant. If I'm not mistaken, I don't like sesame. I don't remember exactly, but I once ate something like a pie, and it was sprinkled with sesame seeds and other stuff on top, and I almost threw up from one of them.
