The results will be announced on Sunday, and the second round will begin next week, January 24th. Regarding the tie-breaker matches for the 3-player groups in True-VT, they will most likely be played simultaneously.
Please hurry up and finish the remaining games!

"A little about the rules:
1. The tournament starts on November 28, 2010 (date is set), and ends on ___, depending on the number of participants. I will try to secure places for the finalists in the next FB (depending on which FB the "ALLRANDOM" final will be).
2. The tournament is held according to the Rules for organizing, conducting, and participating in tournaments.
The draw for rounds, groups, deadlines, and colors will be in the next post.
The deadline for one game is 3 weeks (this is due to the New Year holidays, during which not everyone will want or be able to play). If the vast majority of groups play promptly, we will make an adjustment to the completion of the first round.
3. For each played game, participants must provide a report and confirmation. Save all game saves until the end of the tournament and provide them upon first request from the tournament organizers.
4. 1 point is awarded for a win, 0.5 for a draw (a draw will only be counted if both participants submit reports), and 0 for a loss.
Clearly, in this case, a fairly fair criterion is needed in case of a tie in points.
In case of a tie in points, we will proceed in the following order:
1). Berger coefficient
2). Head-to-head result
3). Coin toss in the VT chat"

The game started a long time ago; the initial distribution was more or less even. I took 2 villages, but couldn't find the bot on turn 126. I encountered Jana without a spellbook, offered her a bribe, and she bought her way out with some meager resources, killing one of my angels.
After that, we paused.
Today, we continued. Korbak, with turbo speed, destroyed the utopia with trash units and, on the very next turn, ambushed Jana in the teleport.

Yeah, that happened, but I was attacking and didn't have the experience book for earth magic, and both had magic or vice versa, without the book, and in both cases, I think the battle would have gone in my favor. Although, in essence, I didn't restart a clearly losing setup (3 swamps on the map). Thanks.

Very long game, I don't even remember when we started or how many attempts we made to finish it. I don't remember much of anything, and after reformatting Windows I lost all my saves, so just a couple of lines. Got lucky with an external dwelling of Minotaurs right next to the Castle, 2 native secondary skills, plus on turn 127 I stupidly stumbled into the red player's external dwelling in the dark near my secondary hero, and they immediately got 2 freshly built portals out of 3 :D Then I don't remember well, ran around the map, did some hoarding, hoarded 2 books of Water and Earth, but Dace was never offered to learn any elemental magic until the very end of the game — dumb musclehead, dammit :D , then numerous jumps all over the place, looking for goodies, ended up with 86 Swarms and 17 Angels. Finally we agreed to have a Final Battle, my stats were noticeably worse, especially magical, but hoping for the meat — after all, besides the Angels and Swarms, there were about 55 Cavaliers and 13 Black Dragons :)
In the FB I see that the meat is, as planned, an order of magnitude greater, but I'm afraid the opponent has a magical surprise prepared ;) , and indeed, in the very first round Zhenya casts Anti-Magic on his Swarms, so there's something, plus the damn eyes and ballista were shredding me pretty badly, the Golden Bow rules, so I went into melee, where the red player made a gross mistake by placing the Swarms behind the Pegasi — pure candy for my dragons. Next turn Zhenek casts Armageddon (didn't even spare the dragons, saved a black orb ;) ), but even that didn't help, the remaining troops finished everyone off in melee.:smile13:

The second stage is also a group stage, and the winners will be seeded into the playoff bracket without being divided by game versions.
