Why nitpick the words? The point is something else. And what's so special about the reason for the vote? Huh? Apparently, Nebko or Lizarde should be called "cutie" because... because ARANDOR THINKS SO, and that's it. Well, sorry, the demiurge's face wasn't meant for you in this life :(
Tomorrow holds no promises Except the ones we've made
Enough with turning the contest into a depressing argument. This applies to everyone. If anyone has any sense, they will stop the bickering immediately after reading this message and won't take it personally.
I don't even like anime, and I'm damn proud of it!
I don't really consider myself part of any subculture either, but I don't quite understand the meaning of this message. Or rather, the reason for writing it.
You guys just don't get it. It's one thing to unite based on shared interests, and I'm not against that. But it's another thing to aggressively show everyone how different we are, like "I'm emo, and I'm proud of it, you're all just a bunch of conformists." In reality, they collectively form just another "group of conformists" and don't stand out at all. And the whole idea of trying to stand out from the crowd is just silly. Furthermore, I've read countless forum threads online about people wanting to become emo or goth. They ask, "What should I be?" and then declare, "Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be a goth!" And then they become part of these subcultures, start dressing the same way, adopt their rules and norms, their worldviews and beliefs, and so on. In doing so, they limit their own freedom and lose themselves within their chosen subculture. These types of groups usually also tend to look down on all other groups. Just look at the endless arguments between emos and anti-emos (you could group those deer-brains together too). And it's always without any real arguments, just shouting at each other like, "You're emo, you're trash, because you're emo, all emos are trash because they're emo," and so on.
Yes, you can criticize subcultures online. But few people can actually provide valid arguments for their criticism.
Added 1 minute ago If everyone just grouped together based on shared interests (like on any forum, including ours), then everything would be fine. But no, they have to stand out, they have to show off.
You don't understand anything) You are a subculture, you are garbage, because you are a subculture, all members of subcultures are crap, because they are members of subcultures.
I didn't write that.
I specifically explained why they are terrible.
Also, I'll add that there are other normal subcultures, like historical reenactors. They don't harass others, they don't try to show off, and so on. These are just normal groups of people with shared interests.
So, if Nyamka (although, there's no point in waiting for him), Veg, and Holy Liquid don't vote for this round, I will vote and announce the winner.
In short, at 2:00 PM Moscow time, I will close the "Kawaii Nya" round and open voting for the next nomination.
