Since we're on the subject and people often nitpick left and right, I'll nitpick too :) In fact: SoD is a product created by the copyright holder of the "Heroes" brand in the form they envisioned it. Since no official revisions were made, the game fully corresponds to the functionality defined by the author. TE and WT are merely private modifications of the original (better, worse — not the point) and have no right to be called "Heroes" (unless, of course, the copyright is purchased :)). So formally, WT is "castrated heroes" :)

It's not about better or worse here. WOT is definitely more convenient. But Heroes = SOD. IMHO.

ok, but just be specific: when SoD players run sod with a lighter, do you think they are playing Heroes? And when it's sod with the HD mod? And if it's sod+lighter+mod+foreign patches to replace console internals etc. and so on.... is that heroes?

When SOD players play SOD with a lighter, do you think they are playing Heroes? And what about SOD with an HD mod?

The gameplay is unchanged — so it's still Heroes.
Same classes in ВТ change priorities completely — so the gameplay has changed, so it's not Heroes.

If you bought a new case and stuffed your old hardware into it, is it the same computer? It is. And if you bought a new CPU + GPU and replaced your old devices with them, is it the same computer? No...

HD and Laiter are just a prettier wrapper.

The same classes in Warlords completely change the priorities – so the gameplay has changed, which means it's not Heroes.

HD and Lighter are just a more beautiful package.

But HD and the lighter weren't in the official version of The Shadow of Death either, so they can also be considered "castrated."

And here, the excuse about the packaging doesn't work; the gameplay has been seriously changed... :)

Unfortunately, progress hasn't gone far enough for the second player to be able to read the first player's mind :(

Why can all other sports be commented on, but not Heroes? It would be perfectly fine.

Heroes is not a sport, and that's why.
