In my opinion, it's a bad idea. Club qualifiers are traditionally open, but online qualifiers should be only for local players. Otherwise, the entire Russian-speaking internet will flock there. However, there's an idea to hold a general online qualifier after the city-based qualifiers for those who didn't make it through the club qualifiers or couldn't participate in them.

Compared to last year, a lot more new players from Moscow have shown interest in Heroes, and people like Vigo, Aztec, and Spirit might participate. We could get around 16-20 people. I'm ready to play both in person at the club and online, although the idea of playing online in this kind of event doesn't appeal to me, and it seems like it was already discussed that it wouldn't be ideal.

I agree that live qualifiers are more reliable (in terms of preventing cheating) than online qualifiers. But what's wrong with awarding the title of "Champion of the CIS and beyond" if it's decided online, among hundreds of players instead of just a few? The pool of participants will definitely expand tenfold. We could use a criterion like this: unfamiliar nicknames are not allowed, so everyone knows who is playing.

You, Pasha, have no reason to complain – two qualifying tournaments are taking place right under your nose (St. Petersburg and Kingisepp). And it's only a one-night trip to Moscow-Michurinsk. With enough desire, you can become a regular at club tournaments instead of just promoting online events.

Besides, there are already plenty of online championships of all kinds, to suit every taste. Stiki is even holding a world championship (I think it won't be the last time).

Forget the internet; there are already so many online tournaments. Let's organize one proper offline event. In the final, only those who played in the club qualifiers should participate, plus the previous champion, Bayazet. 2. To organize a Moscow qualifier, all it takes is one determined decision. You can write thousands of posts, but they won't move things forward even a tiny bit. You need to find a club, agree to install the game for 2-3 days... and that's it. There's no need to worry about accommodation – everyone is local. There's also no need to worry about participants; I can easily gather about 10 people. The players can afford to pay for the computers. There are also people who can help with judging. Last time, Sticky volunteered and organized the tournament. Everyone helped him as much as they could (especially Vik). And it turned out pretty well. I wrote to two people who, in my opinion, could realistically organize a championship in Moscow – the result was negative. Therefore, I don't objectively know who could organize such an event right now.
