Posts from HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
Well, it's obviously not done intentionally.
Tell me the recipe on how to separate 0, and it will be fixed in the next version.
And the next version, by the way, will be released in a few days.

За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того
allows you to run multiple instances of the game simultaneously (they must be launched from different folders, meaning you need at least two complete copies of the game in different folders).
Life is getting easier and easier for mapmakers:rolleyes:

P.S. thank god this massive bug didn't make it into VT
in principle... I don't see any objective reasons for saving the generated map to the hard drive during online play.
we can fix this... what do you think?
it's about time! and not just the map, but also the saves could be saved;) just so that they can be retrieved later.
in principle... I don't see any objective reasons for saving a generated map to the hard drive during online play.
In my opinion, the settings should allow the option to save the map.
Since this question has arisen, it means that the master's hands have reached the entry/exit of the random map generator :smile20:
And therefore, the question arises: is it possible to connect external modules, for example, to check for bugs in the generation? Or, for example, to rearrange the road network - which would solve the problem of the lack of a road to the center on Jebus and only one road in the Great Oasis on the Sanctuary map. The module should read the map from the same random_maps and write the corrected version back there.
I'm not asking about writing such a module, I'm only interested in the fundamental possibility. And in general, does it make sense to get into this.
in principle... I see no objective reason to save a generated map on the hard drive during a network game.
it can be fixed... what do you think?
That would be cool.

Lider1, Vanya, what the hell kind of bug??? like in HotA, Ctrl+Shift+Alt splits troops into equal parts; if we split a single unit, we get free zero-stack units, which, admittedly, only move for 1 round, have 1 HP, and deal 1 damage, but what a variety!!! The patient joker is a hardcore SoD player, and here's an advanced dude using free retaliations when playing against him with the HDmod, with such an abuse — don't you notice some imbalance?
P.S. thankfully this bug hasn't reached HotA
Don't panic, the author exists, he'll fix this bug, but as I understand it, no one is going to patch the HotA bugs.

[+] Automatic improved healing of split/silver/shadow creatures. Bugs should now be fixed before they are even noticed. Just in case, the option for manual healing using [Left SHIFT]+[F2] has been left.
[+] When casting the Dimension Door and Flood Ship spells, the spell's effect range is displayed. You can enable the display of the range even when not casting the spell using the quick menu by clicking the middle mouse button in the Adventure Manager (to aim before casting).
[+] Pressing the [G] button opens the Thieves' Guild window. At least one tavern must be built, or at least one hero must be in the Thieves' Lair. Works in both Adventure and Town windows. The Thieves' Guild can also be accessed using the quick menu by clicking the middle mouse button in the Adventure Manager.
[+] Quick menu in the Adventure Manager by clicking the middle mouse button. Currently, the menu contains 4 items: Market, Thieves' Guild, Quick Battle (on/off), Dimension Door effect range (on/off).
[+] When quickly accessing the Market, the presence of a hero standing on the external market is now taken into account.
[+] Moving heroes and towns in lists using [Left SHIFT]+click (up) and [Left CTRL]+click (down).
[-] Bug causing the AI to freeze (infinite deliberation when attempting to dig up the Grail).
[+] Bugs with quick army management - zeros, decreasing/increasing the number of units.

version 2.71 is now available for download.
Version 2.70 had a bug that allowed for some form of cheating, and automatic healing of split creatures did not work in 800x600 resolution.
I remind you that if the option to fix game bugs is enabled, and you press [F2] in the main Adventure window, a request will be sent to your opponent. If your opponent also has the bug-fixing option enabled, they will send you a confirmation: "Player X - OK" and their HD version number. If you do not receive confirmation from the player, it means they are playing without HD or with a very old HD version.
Thus, by checking your opponent's HD version, you can be sure that they cannot, for example, cheat by separating zeros or using the 2.70 bug

The borders of the Dimension Door faction on the dark side of the map are almost invisible.
There is also a bug in the game: in a multiplayer game, if a companion is killed and then you click the "view opponent's turn" button, the game crashes. Can this be fixed? There is no save file for this.
There was also a problem where the game crashed when scrolling the map. This was a while ago, and there is no save file for that either.
And one more thing. There is no way to split a stack, for example, to divide 9 Archangels into 7 and 2, or 6 and 3 (i.e., to use the [SHIFT] key). This is especially critical when all 6 stacks are occupied.
And one more suggestion. In the hero encounter window, it would be better to swap the focus points or make the setting optional. Because several times, important heroes have wandered off somewhere... and not where they needed to be.
And what about the future - are there plans to create game settings? For example, choosing paths based on speed, choosing a color for the ally in a paired game, choosing a template, etc. - all of this saves a lot of game time.
