Titan might be stronger, but I personally voted for the Black Dragon.

I spent the whole evening compiling more or less accurate statistics. I tested heroes with zero attack and defense, using the Sandglass and the Spirit of Despair on sandy terrain. No special tactics, maneuvers, or complicated strategies, just a simple, straightforward statistical battle, head-to-head. 7 battles each, one-on-one. So:

9. Phoenix gets beaten by everyone; even resurrection doesn't help. The only exception is 3 out of 7 wins against Ghost Dragons, but that doesn't change the fact that the Phoenix is the weakest in this list.
8. Ghost Dragon is proud of its victory over the Phoenix; there's not much else to brag about.
7. Chaos Hydra beats Ghost Dragons and Phoenixes, but performs rather poorly against the others.
6. Gold Dragon defeats the three previous ones, and what was particularly surprising was that it won 2 out of 7 battles against Ancient Beasts :eek: (both times, they were left with 4 HP).
5. Black Dragon, unfortunately, only manages to defeat five. It defeated Behemoths twice out of seven attempts, and Titans defeated it four times.

I once conducted a similar test, but not 1 on 1, but 2 castle upgrades against 2, i.e., 4 creatures against 4 (and 8 Phoenixes) - it depends less on chance. The balance of power is approximately the same (the differences are due to the larger number in the group). Archangels and Black Dragons are essentially on equal footing; whoever attacks first wins, with about 70 HP remaining.
As for the other creatures, the Azure Dragon easily defeats 6 of any monster, with the exception of Gray Behemoths - they destroy the dragon without a chance.

That's right. In a clash between two neutral creatures, their chances are almost equal, and there's no real advantage to be gained. But in a real battle with a large number of units, all these advantages can be used very effectively – it depends on the player's skill.

I conducted a small experiment. I took a hero with zero stats and placed him on neutral ground. I gave him a black dragon and pitted him against a neutral titan.
The results are as follows: the dragon won 13 times, and the titan won 7 times.
The most common outcome: the beginning of the third round. Both have 1-30 health, the black dragon attacks, and the titan predictably dies.
The titan killed the dragon in the second round, during its attack, so I concluded that if the dragon survives to the third round, the titan is doomed.
In twenty battles, the titan's morale kicked in twice, and he won. The dragon's morale kicked in once, and he won.
I didn't do any, excuse my Russian, nonsense with weight and defense. The dragon immediately flew at the titan, and the titan attacked the dragon.
Now I'll try playing as the titan.
