The version of the game Heroes of Might and Magic V has been on sale for a long time. Sellers present it as an "alpha version" or even a "demo version" of the game, although in reality, it is one of the first working versions of the game that is more than a year old. At one time, during the development process, this version became accessible to people who leaked it. About a year later, the version was uploaded to the internet, and now it has been copied onto CDs for sale.
It is understandable that fans of the series are eager to try out the fifth installment of the game. However, we must warn all potential buyers of these discs that, due to its age, this version does not even provide a rough idea of the game – it contains outdated graphics, a schematic Gameplay, and is practically unplayable due to its instability. Therefore, Nival Interactive urges fans of the Heroes of Might and Magic series not to waste their money and time on this version, which cannot provide either information about the fifth installment of the series or simple enjoyment.

How to distinguish a pirated version from a licensed one:
Buy the disc at stores affiliated with 1C:Multimedia. Their lists can be found here http://games.1c.ru/?type=sales [in these stores, 1C guarantees the purchase of a licensed disc]
The only online stores affiliated with 1C:Multimedia are ozone and balero
The original Heroes of Might and Magic V disc has a blue semi-circular edge on the right + the presence of logos of Nival Interactive and Ubisoft. Inside the box there is a coupon for participation in the "Postcard Promotion".
!!!Nival Interactive guarantees installation of patches and technical support (support) only for buyers of the licensed version of the game. !!!
I bought a pirated version of Heroes 5 on a CD for 60 rubles! There's no exit button, no save/load function, no music, and (!) no maps to play!
Those bastards ripped me off!:D
Exactly... I had the same experience!! Only I bought it a long time ago... But you can save the game using the console, by pressing the tilde key and typing "save file", and then to load the game, type "load file"... ;) ;) ;) ;)

You can only expect a half-baked alpha or a freely distributed beta from pirates, but you can download the beta for free, even from our FTP;).
I advise you to only buy a licensed copy so you don't ruin the experience. I still have a licensed copy of Heroes 3: The Shadow of Death from Buky on my shelf, and I'm very happy with it...

I completely agree!!! I have the same one at home, as well as The Restoration of Erathia.
In general, it is really better to wait than to buy some garbage and spoil your opinion of the game. You understand that only a licensed version has the fewest bugs and shortcomings, unlike a demo or alpha. So don't spoil your attitude towards the game by buying all sorts of rubbish; it's a waste of money and brings your morale down:D :D :D :D
Of course, it's better to buy the licensed version; I also have all the disks for Heroes 3. But I really didn't like the translation in the Platinum Collection from Buka! All the Heroes games were translated well, except for version 3. I don't understand why they changed everything there; it was perfect as it was. But in the last 2 years, I've been playing and still play only the latest version, SoD, in English, and I'm already used to it.

As for me, I haven't even seen a pirated copy of the Third game, but in every store, you hear: "Oh, we have the Fifth Heroes, only here!":)
I haven't even seen a pirated copy of Heroes III, but in every store, you hear: "Oh, we have Heroes V, only here!":)
This is already a common occurrence! Everyone is shouting "Exclusive" and "only here!":D :D :D ALTHOUGH THIS IS FAR FROM WHAT THE FANS ARE WAITING FOR:D
Like, TOP 100 GAMES I hope that in five years, the fifth installment will be in a collection of TEN BEST, translated by 1C.
Guys! Why buy collections? Collections rarely contain all high-quality games, regardless of who releases them. Buy them separately, knowing that you're buying a worthwhile product. It's not worth saving storage space for disks for this!:D
I see I'm not the only one who bought this awful version... And when I found out about it, I almost fell off my chair. And now that I've played it, I'm so disgusted that it's terrible:mad:  I don't recommend it to anyone!!!!

Why even bother buying it when everyone said the release date was closer to summer, i.e., May, June!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus, the pirated version clearly lacks any localization markings. But what can you do, the desire for free stuff takes over:)
