I started playing with Heroes of Might and Magic II, then tried Heroes of Might and Magic from the 3rd to the 5th installments, plus King's Bounty: The Legend and Armored Princess. All these versions are remarkable in essence (although they have different developers). Fantasy, the element of luck and pure calculation, power and vanity, immense wealth and cunning - all of this is present in them. The satisfaction is immense! Graphics are not essential! I have a wide 22" screen, and Heroes of Might and Magic III is stretched terribly, but I quickly got used to it. I still "root for" Heroes of Might and Magic III (Shades of Darkness) and King's Bounty (KATAURI) :smile44:

A wide screen is not designed for standard computer resolutions; it is best suited for watching movies. I, for example, wouldn't want such a thing even as a gift....

A pointless topic. In a game like this, graphics are hardly a priority.

The hero sprites in the third game are simply magnificent, which in no way diminishes the desire to play!

I started playing back in the nineties. Back then, the graphics were quite beautiful, and the most interesting thing is that I don't even remember how I started playing it. Now, I'm used to the graphics, and it doesn't really matter to me anymore, although I couldn't play the first, second, and fourth installments.

I don't care about the graphics, especially since the graphics in Heroes don't require a powerful system, and Heroes 3 runs on any computer.

A bit of justified criticism: "Excuse me, but what is more important to you - to play and explore, to feel what you are capable of and test yourself in practice, perhaps even proving your abilities right there, or to look at distracting images, landscapes, and objects that are located everywhere on the map (in two words - graphics and beauty)?". Interestingly, this question arises precisely at a time when the game already has a certain lifespan, as it was not created "today," which will never end, but will only continue as long as there are fans. And yes, there are no nuances or distracting elements in this game, in terms of graphics; the screen size could perhaps be adjusted, but it's not as bad as it seems (800x600).

In the first two attempts to get acquainted with Heroes 3, the graphics put me off, but on the third attempt, I finally started to enjoy the game. And after half an hour, the graphics became more appealing to me than ever.

Those who play only for the graphics are blonde, because here you need to think, not just stare at how kawaii the heroes and cute the trees are... I think the graphics in the third game are simply wonderful; you have to give them credit for coming up with something like that - small heroes on small horses=))))

P.S. I played the fifth game a little, and I liked the graphics. But I will play the THIRD one, because it is the most economical, the most familiar, and the most charming)))))))))))))))))

The level of the hero doesn't matter. If the player is a newbie, a higher level won't help!
