Did the graphics of Heroes 3 not deter you from wanting to play?
I started playing with Heroes of Might and Magic II, then tried Heroes of Might and Magic from the 3rd to the 5th installments, plus King's Bounty: The Legend and Armored Princess. All these versions are remarkable in essence (although they have different developers).
Fantasy, the element of luck and pure calculation, power and vanity, immense wealth and cunning - all of this is present in them. The satisfaction is immense!
Graphics are not essential! I have a wide 22" screen, and Heroes of Might and Magic III is stretched terribly, but I quickly got used to it.
I still "root for" Heroes of Might and Magic III (Shades of Darkness) and King's Bounty (KATAURI) :smile44:
