autumn has arrived – it’s time to play – but there’s nowhere to play – either just playing among ourselves or on a buggy, stupid UBI server, or on an unclear, foreign TOX – a question for the moderators: WHERE ARE OUR ONLINE TOURNAMENTS? If they’re too lazy, let them be moderators and judges – it’s not that difficult – and there’s no need for tournaments with dirty money – it just leads to arguments – people play for fun, not to bother the sponsor (and we all know who he is) – we can chip in for judging, for example.

We should come up with something new for the tournament format. P.S. And our Clan constantly holds tournaments :P

I suggest an idea for an online tournament with fictional heroes: you choose the specialization, race, skill, and ability, and the name. You select several such heroes for the tournament. Then, either a quick match or something else. The game will be faster and will depend on the composition of the heroes, but cheating combinations should probably be excluded... although everyone is responsible for the hero they created.

I talked to the community – everyone wants to play in a tournament – the problem is finding a judge and a moderator, that’s all – is there anyone who can and wants to become one? The previous people – Leo Aisman and Moz – are currently irreplaceable (maybe that’s not true). I simply don’t have the knowledge to judge or moderate – but we can choose the format and vote, and then play on cold autumn evenings in our favorite game!!!))) It seems like no one on the League or here cares.

I think that for starters, we need to determine at least the approximate number of participants in the tournament. Then, we can move on to the idea and the tournament scheme, and then define the rules.
Therefore, I suggest starting a preliminary registration for the tournament in your first post... (by editing it, as the author of this topic). We already have two participants, including you and me.

I can become a moderator if needed (preparation, formatting, modifying maps if necessary), but I definitely won't have enough time to monitor the tournament.

Well done, Barma! You brought up a topic that I think concerns many fans of the online game Heroes, who miss the competitive spirit that tournaments have always embodied!!! Moderators, let's have a new tournament!!!! I don't see the point of this site without tournaments!

Who will judge, who will monitor compliance with the rules, and who will have the patience to track down participants and make them play? Who will review save files and resolve disputes?
Previously, moderators and sometimes volunteers took care of this, but now there is no one to do it. If we can achieve a quorum, then please – let's choose judges and an organizer, and we can even make the tournament official. I would organize it myself, but I don't have time to monitor everything and everyone.

Greetings everyone! First of all, I would like to apologize to Immortal for disappearing during the previous tournament; there were reasons for that. The only consolation is that the main work of organizing the tournament was done together, and bringing the tournament to its logical conclusion was, in principle, not difficult for one person alone, although this certainly doesn't justify me much. Still, I repeat, there were reasons for leaving virtual life :) As for the idea of holding a new tournament... guys, about two or three years ago, I took over the baton of organizing tournaments from Primus, not being a moderator and having no experience, but having a huge desire and interest. That was quite enough for HeroesWorld tournaments for Heroes V to run almost non-stop for nearly two years. Today, unfortunately, my gaming enthusiasm has faded a bit :) I devoted too much useful time to immersing myself in the virtual space :smile41: Life goes on, interests and priorities change, and therefore I must inform you that for the foreseeable future (and perhaps not only the foreseeable future), I am recusing myself from organizing tournaments. I don't think anyone has any reason to express dissatisfaction in this regard. I repeat, I voluntarily took on the burden of tournament organizer and involved Iceman in this process (for which I give him a huge human THANK YOU!!!) By the way, he recently posted on the League, so he's alive and well. Try to get through to him; I couldn't recommend a better organizer. And in general, organizing tournaments is not a difficult task; I repeat, you just need the desire! If anyone decides to take it on, I'll help however I can ;) Good luck to all!
P.S. Moderator, this is something different, and calling on moderators to organize a tournament for you is, to put it mildly, not quite right ;)

I only disagree with one thing: playing against strong opponents is interesting even just for fun. I know that several very strong players are ready to play right now, but unfortunately, not everyone has time for a long tournament. I myself haven’t had much time lately, but I look forward to every new tournament to play Heroes, and then forget about it until the next tournament. Unfortunately, life doesn’t allow me to play constantly every evening like I used to. So, what I’m getting at is: let’s have a new tournament!
P.S. I won’t be able to participate in organizing the tournament for obvious reasons:( If there isn’t an official tournament, I’m ready to accept an invitation to any intra-clan tournament; I don’t think I’ll disappoint
