The 20th offline tournament "Beltane’s Gift" (on the TE patch)

TOURNAMENT RULES

1. To participate in the second offline tournament on the TE patch for Heroes 1, "Beltane’s Gift," you must have Heroes 1 installed and download the TE patch to your computer.;)

2. The tournament will be held on the Russian version 1.1 of Heroes 1 from Buky with the TE_1.03 patch installed.
Saves from the original game version will not be considered; i.e., the game must only run on the patch!!!
All information regarding installing the patch can be found here

3. The goal of the game is to capture the dragon city (located in the center of the map) in the shortest possible time.:smile14: At the same time, it is not necessary to complete the map!;). As a secondary winning condition in case of a tie in days – the sum of skills, taking into account artifacts, of the strongest hero.

The winner of this tournament receives a prize in the form of a cup with the TE logo (in the profile and under the avatar).:smile49:

This tournament is rated and published on the website http://www.reytinghmm1.ho.ua/, so you need to earn your rating now, because at the end of the year the best player on our site according to the ranking will receive a separate prize in the form of a cup for the absolute winner, as well as an honorary certificate sent by mail. The rating will be calculated for 2010.

4. ATTENTION: the list of prohibitions applicable to the original version of the game does not exist, except for one logical and cheating point:

26.3.1. It is strictly FORBIDDEN to use cheat codes, prohibited bugs, or hack saves during the final playthrough. However, it is allowed to use the standard cheat code for initial save scouting, i.e., in the draft version, and also apply all programs listed in section 24. Programs and utilities.
Note - for violating this rule, the cheater may face a lifetime ban or a special mark in his profile.

It is also FORBIDDEN to publicly discuss the game on the Internet.

5. Send the save to the email address VDV_forever@bk.ru

The submitted save must contain the tournament number (20) and the player's nickname.

Example:

20_VDV_forever.GM1

6. The result of a player who used cheats will be annulled, and the player will receive a lifetime ban!

7. The tournament starts on September 28, 2010, and lasts until October 28, 2010 (inclusive!), Moscow time. The final results of the tournament will be announced on October 30, 2010.

8. After receiving your save, you will receive confirmation by e-mail.

Sequence of actions:

1. Download the patch 1.03 TE and place it in the root directory with the installed game.

2. Download the save.

3. The downloaded save must be placed on your computer in the GAMES folder of the installed Heroes 1.

4. Launch H1TE.exe and load the save, starting the game at any time that is convenient for you, while remembering to make daily saves.

5. After reaching the last action (after which victory occurs), you need to save again.

6. A detailed description of the tournament map is encouraged (not required). If there are any, the best ones will be published in the topic: "Feats of our best heroes," and also posted on the reference website http://handbookhmm1.narod.ru/!

7. Send this save to the specified address (in the rules of this tournament).

8. Wait for the results.

I think we will, but on the Cove map with a patch, because, as the theory proved in practice, playing on the original Cove map in its current state is buggy, and in some hands, it even becomes a cheat, unfortunately...
The patch doesn't allow this, i.e., everyone is in absolutely equal conditions, both skilled players and newcomers. Moreover, the patch fixes almost all bugs and allows visiting previously forbidden random objects.

It's about the fact that in all other parts of the game, you can split a stack.

I mean that in this version of Heroes, you can’t split units of the same type into individual units… Oops, never mind:smile52:, you can split different types:D.

In the first game, you really can't do that, but you can see it at the start (and even play!) very well, even in the first installment! ;)
