Siberian Club Championship, also known as the qualifying round for the CIS championship. The purpose of this event: - Meeting old friends, making new ones, socializing, and identifying the strongest player in Siberia and beyond in the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 cyber discipline. Location and dates: - To be discussed. Participants: - Sign up in this post with your preferred dates and location for the event. Rules, regulations, and format of the event: - To be discussed. I can suggest the following: I have more or less free time until mid-November 2010. If people are ready to gather before that date, i.e., in October or up to mid-November, I can organize a meeting in Kemerovo. The event format can be either in a club or with laptops, which everyone needs to bring. Personally, I would prefer the second option, as renting the entire club is expensive, and sitting there with schoolchildren would ruin the fun. In terms of timing, it would be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's best to arrive on Thursday evening. Accommodation can be either a rented house or an apartment. I will only take on the organizational issues related to the meeting, accommodation, and, if necessary, the club. Regarding the rules, regulations, and other technical issues, I think someone else should take care of them, as I am not very good at them. The estimated cost of accommodation and food is 1000 rubles per day.

We can go to a football match and do something similar. I can't give you a definite answer about Kemerovo right now. I don't know how my time will work out. It seems like nothing is really holding me back in Novosibirsk, so I could easily go.

Okay, here's the plan to keep the thread alive: - On Friday, we'll meet up and get started! **Artem, aka Valenok**, is coming from Novokuznetsk with his girlfriend, and they'll pick up **Vanya, aka Ivan**, from Kemerovo along the way. - The delegation from Novosibirsk: **Dust, aka me**, and **Kostya, aka Dirty Player** will meet the guests and together we'll head to the rented apartment, the size of which we'll need to decide on. With Kostya's help, we can do this even on Friday upon arrival! A 2-room apartment costs around 1700-2000, a 3-room apartment costs 2000-2500, the choice is ours! We'll split the cost among everyone! - It's not yet known if **Oleg, aka Catch**, will be able to join us, but I really hope he can! There's also no positive news yet about **Sasha, aka Alessandro**, from Barnaul ((( Sasha, why can't you come, even to watch a football game!? Consider this meeting a waste of time ;-) :-( **Mikhail, aka Deep Mike**, has already declined, as his busy chess schedule doesn't allow him to join us, unfortunately. :-( But we've invited one female "Heroes" player - **Katerina, aka Alite**, from Novosibirsk, who has long wanted to meet and get to know us! :-) My girlfriend will also be there, and she also wants to see our friendly group and play... Heroes/Poker. She'll be responsible for creating a photo report of the event, so I promise a photo report! Kostya hasn't decided yet whether he'll be coming alone or with his partner, as she's a master of sports... in curling :D *If anyone else wants to meet up with the friendly Siberian group, please let us know in this thread! We'll be very happy to meet new people!* :-) - I promise 2 laptops. If Oleg comes, we'll ask him to bring another one, so we'll definitely have a hot-seat session... in between poker battles, of course. Katya also promised to bring her laptop and join us on Saturday! - Anyone who has plastic cards, chips, a supply of "strong stuff," etc., should definitely bring them! :) If we run out of chips, we can use a collection of coins of different denominations (I think Kostya had some!?) I spent all my last "bankroll" on the train ;) P.S. And yes, those coming from out of town, bring more money, I need to build up my bankroll :smile36: :D - The schedule is as follows: Friday - meet the guests, settle into the apartment, go to the store, raise toasts "to the meeting," "to Heroes," "to a great time," and then let the good times roll :rolleyes: After 3 am, we'll try to play Heroes, but after half an hour, we'll give up on this fascinating game and sit down for a 6-max NL10 poker game :smile14: until someone wins! Well, back in the day, I traveled from Siberia to St. Petersburg for a championship, and this year, I went with some guys to Moscow-Michurinsk, and we don't regret traveling such distances at all! :-)

I'm just waiting for the last hour at work – I can't wait, and Kostya and I are going to have a great time at a nice place in the city center, right across from the Spartak stadium (there's a match on Sunday!!!)!!!
Meanwhile, the ice for the drinks is already freezing, a delicious snack has been planned (all that's left is to make it), the heroes are being leveled up, the poker fish... (and fishes :D) are on their way – the mood is improving! :smile54:

It seems that our guests from Kuzbass will be a little late, but that's okay – it will give us time to prepare a delicious welcome for them! ;)

Today, we're relaxing! :) Tomorrow, we're not stressing either :D and we'll be playing Heroes, testing a new HD mod, and waiting for guests and new acquaintances who will drop by! :smile50:

It's a real shame that such great players and good people like Deep Mike from Prokopyevsk, Alessandro and Dreamcatcher from Barnaul, and my "beloved" Kemerovo crew couldn't find the time to come, deciding that other things are more important, and even our Novosibirsk resident Catch has declined for now, and even Mr. Boatong, whom we've never even met, has traditionally skipped this celebration! :( ...But we'll still have a great time, and all those who didn't come will regret it :p ...We'll try to convince Oleg to join us, even if it's just for a couple of hours – to raise a glass to the fact that we will probably have the honor of opening the CIS Club Championship 2011 with the first qualifying match today!!!! Hooray!!! :smile54:
